Functional, beautiful and stylish
I have several pairs of Altra’s, these are wide in the toe box, right amount of arch support, and mild cushioning allowing me to still feel the ground beneath me which I like. I like the bright colors! They are lightweight and grip any surface I am walking/hiking on with ease creating stability, trust and confidence in this older gal. Thank you

Excellent fit! Great support!
These tennis shoes are fantastic! The wider toe box provides a comfortable fit, and the support is excellent—perfect for long walks or hitting the trails. They’re also super stylish, with great color options that help hide dirt, so they stay looking fresh even after outdoor adventures. I’ve already noticed an improvement in my leg and ankle pain since wearing them, and I get compliments on them all the time. Highly recommend for both comfort and style!

Love my new trail shoes!
The latest Altra trail shoes are a game-changer for anyone who values comfort and performance. One standout feature is the incredibly roomy toe box, which allows your toes to splay naturally. Whether you’re on a quick jog or a long-distance trek, this design significantly reduces foot fatigue and discomfort. But the real surprise is their superior grip on the trail. The traction is remarkable, providing confidence on uneven, muddy, or rocky terrain. These shoes excel at keeping you stable, even on tricky downhills or wet surfaces.

So comfortable, just wish they kept the water out
These shoes are AMAZING for comfort. I have fairly bad bunions which make finding shoes with the right fit in the toe box fairly tough. The toe box on these shoes is wonderful with plenty of room even for my difficult to fit feet. They needed no break in period, and were super comfortable from the first time I wore them. The only reason I subtracted one star is for the water resistance - I wear them to the park with my kids and even with no rain coming down, if I walk through the grass that's just wet from the night before, my toes end up wet. I would still buy them again for the comfort factor, but I wish they were truly water resistant.

Had to change running shoes and these work!
I’ve been running in Altra’s Torin 5 for the last couple of years (finding pairs on Amazon or eBay). However when it came time to change my running shoe, there were no Torin 5s in my size to be found. I decided to give the Lone Peak 8 a try. It’s more cushioned than the Torin 5 (mid vs low) but both have 0mm heel-to-toe drop. The stack height of the Lone Peak is larger than the Torin 5, so I was concerned how that would affect my runs. I’m happy to report that I’ve done 2 runs in these shoes, and they were very comfortable and felt similar to the Torin 5s. The Lone Peaks are larger- I wear a size 8 in running shoes and these shoes feel bigger. I’m sure I’ll appreciate it on those very warm running days. So far, the larger size hasn’t made me stumble at all. I’ll be taking these shoes trail running when the weather dries up, but they’re doing just fine on asphalt and gravel for 7-8 mile runs. They’re comfortable, light, and grip the road. I don’t care too much about style, but the blue ones are a pleasant color. I’ll know more about the quality after a couple months.

So comfortable and I love the blue.
Very comfortable out of the box. Wide toe box and perfect for hiking on rugged terrain and they look great.

Comfy, Greta quality up to the task
Cute, good quality, awesome color and comfortable! Wore them for a 65 km trekking trip and they were comfy, roomy for my toes and my feet were kept in good condition the whole time. Love the colors combination.

Hurt my feet, but I love the way they look and the construction is solid…
Great fit, love the wide toe box - plenty of room for my toes to spread out and yet they don’t look like clown shoes, which is awesome! They look and feel good on my feet and I love the design. They are, however, the most uncomfortable shoes I’ve ever walked in. They were super comfortable when I first put them on - and this is true every time I put them on, however - if I walk any sort of distance my feet start to hurt horribly. I’m not sure if this is just a matter of them needing to be broken in or what but I can only get about 5-10 minutes into a walk and I’m already wishing I had different shoes on. I’ve never had shoes be so uncomfortable from the get go before and I’ve been wearing barefoot and zero drop shoes for awhile now so it’s not a transition down to zero drop thing. I’m hoping it’s just a matter of them needing breaking in, because I really like everything else about them.
