It did what it should
This works fine but the outer brass plate is on the cheap side. I wish it was better quality.

works great - just what I needed. You just can't find these at the big box stores. I use them on gates where I want to give outsiders the impression that there is more security than just a keyhole part. You can reach through the metal of our gates but most people wouldn't know to do that and that's just fine with me - I can reach through when I need to. It keeps the Jehovah's Witnesses out of our little alcove in front of our main house door.

Easy install if you have basic do it yourself skills and tools. Wouldn't hesitate to buy another if the need should arise.
