In my opinion this unit performs better than many more expensive changers. Easy to use , automatic charging cycle so no worries about over charging, looks to be well constructed and resistant to damp, just as well in the UK, no need to disconnect the battery from the vehicle.

I bought this charger after buying a cheaper alternative that didn’t work. It’s made by Ring which has a good reputation for motoring products so I thought I would bite the bullet and purchase this model. I needed a quick release charger so I could keep my motorbike battery charged over the winter months but I didn’t want the hassle of having to manually clip the crocodile clips to the battery terminals each time I come back from a ride. The quick release connector solves this problem as it connects to the battery via o rings which you can just leave and plug in when you need it. The lead length is OK, it easily reaches from my garage wall socket to the motorbike and is very easy to use owing to the automatic charging modes. The only reason for dropping a star is that the O Ring connectors are a little big for motorcycle battery terminals but a metal washer solves this problem. And the manual was mostly pictures with no explanation of the different modes. It’s worth purchasing but before you buy double check which model you need as the 1A version is only suitable for motorbikes and the smallest of cars.

I have had one of these before and found it very good. I got it first during lockdown when I wasn’t using the car and battery went flat. The only reason I got a new one is because I broke the original.

Purchased to trickle charge my 130Mah caravan battery over winter. I wanted a premium brand charger at a sensible price and this has ticked all the boxes. The only problem is the instructions are a bit bland. The hanging hook is a great addition as well

Excellent charger, easy to set up, can be set up and left on charge without worries.

Bought this charger as a battery maintainer, it included a set of bolt on terminals as well as the usual crocodile clips having a waterproof connecting plug to enable me to leave the connection under the bonnet without having to keep removing the battery covers, this cable was only 300mm long far too short should have been much longer to enable it to be routed through and positioned in the grille for ease of access. I included an inline fuse in the +ve lead near the battery , this is a missing safety feature that really should have been there already, anything shorting this cable could have started a fire so I fitted my own 10A fuse. The unit worked and has a few options and kept my battery topped up ( my battery is good but modern cars have so much electronics that never switches off if the vehicle not used daily on longer runs drains the battery) I connected the unit twice overnight on separate occasions and having been on a long run recently left it off fo a while , noticing my screen displayed energy management , system shutting down I decided to connect it again overnight, this time when I switched it on it came on briefly then went off , screen went blank. Un plugged , checked connections all OK plugged in again nothing , no light no display at all, that was the last time it worked . Very disappointing for not a cheap charger . Had to dig out my old Aldi branded charger , clipped on the leads and away it went. This Ring 8Amp charger was swiftly boxed back up,(luckily I still had the box) and swiftly sent back to amazon, with luckily only 1 day left on my return window. Wonder what I would have done if it hadn't been in time . Full refund and will not be buying Ring products again . They even offered me "would I keep the item if they gave me money back " I looked what they offered .......£3.44 !!! Off £38 item that doesn't work !! Errrr.......NO poor quality item.

Great product bought a 2nd unit however would be good if could get spares I.e. the ring terminals so as easy to connect a trickle charger. The unit its self seem well built and easy to use I like the hook built into the back would also be good if it came with a case instead of a box or at least you could purchase one I.e NOCO.
