Upon unpacking the trap, I was pleasantly delighted to see that it had a somewhat robust feel to it. The wire mesh is substantial and well-constructed, and the doors seem to be sturdy enough to hold even the most determined animals inside. It was quite easy to put together since it was already completed, which saved me a lot of time and effort. When it comes to efficacy, I've experienced a range of outcomes. Over the course of my first week of usage, I was able to successfully capture two raccoons as well as a squirrel that was extremely daring. The mechanism for the pedal trigger works as described; it is sensitive enough to be activated by tiny animals, but it is not so sensitive that it goes off with every gust of wind. I am grateful for this equilibrium since it reduces the number of false alerts. On the other hand, I did have a little problem with bigger raccoons. Keeping in mind that the trap has a size restriction is something that should be considered. Several times, I discovered that the bait had been removed, but there was no animal within the trap. I believe that these instances were caused by bigger raccoons that were unable to fit snugly inside the trap.

This trap works great on the squirrels and rats, but the finish on it is so cheaply done it begins to rust after only a couple of days!.

This animal trap is amazing. So long as you set it up well and hold the top with fasteners to strengthen it, you see how effective it is. N. B: it doesn’t come with fasteners. It’s very easy to setup so I will recommend this animal trap. Within three days of setting it, I caught the groundhog that made me spend about $400 to fense my vegetable garden.

Poor craftsmanship not sturdy going to return did not meet expectations

I had a rat trapped and released itself and opossum (photo above) released itself. Hooks are flimsy, instead need a quality wire to tighten sides.

The trap works well I’ve caught several squirrels and relocated them however be aware there is an important design flaw in the trap. The spring latches that hold the trap doors on can be giggled off and the door opens. I’ve had 2 squirrels escape the trap by banging against the door. I’ve solved the issue but wedging small pieces of wood in the hole that the latch goes through. This is a significant design flaw that the manufacturer should correct

It's very well built, quite sturdy and it works well.Once you have it all setup, it's easy to use and will catch everything from small mice to big rabbits and more.It's well designed and not something the animal can escape from, but is very easy to release if you need.It is a bit expensive and takes a long time to ship, but it's worth it in my opinion.

The media could not be loaded. This trap is pretty effective. I managed to capture two chipmunks that were quite small, so it is pretty sensitive. See photo.With the doors that drop straight down, it allows for a larger capture area than the traditional have a heart traps.The construction is pretty solid. I did find one issue with the way that the trap collapses that can cause a issue with the mechanism. See video.I love that it is painted for ruat proofing.
