Heavy with limited capabilities!
This converter is relatively heavy and as others have mentioned, it only has one plug. The long cord is nice. Please keep in mind that this only works for lower wattage items like curling irons and flat irons. It does not work for hair dryers or clothes steamers. I got this for a trip to Italy and it only worked with one curling iron. It was a complete waste of space and was heavy. I would have been better off purchasing a new dual voltage curling iron than lugging this thing around. Read carefully because it is only compatible with certain wattages.

Voltage Converter - small & simple
I bought this converter to replace one that was too heavy and cumbersome. This converter steps the voltage down from 220v to 110v. This one is MUCH lighter (about 1 lb) but the trade-off is it has only one A/C input. You can only charge one thing at a time. It may not be a problem if there is just one person traveling with this. It is small and light and easy to travel with. All depends on your needs. If you want to charge your laptop, cell phone and iPad at once, you should get something with more inputs. Otherwise, if you can get along with only a single input, I would recommend this converter.

EU plug only
This converter may be lighter than traditional converters. However, it is heavier and bulkier than a converter adapter combo that I recently ordered. This converter is CE certified, and has an EU plug only. Plug adapters for the UK and AU are not included. Therefore, unless you already own these plug adapters, you will need to purchase the additional plug adapter if you travel to other 220v countries. Keep in mind that the additional plug adapters need to have a female EU outlet.

Know whether you need it or not before you travel
I recently came home from a cruise that included a one night stay in Santiago, Chile pre and post. I knew that the cruise ship had US - style outlets and current, but it didn't dawn on my to check the hotel. Most of the things I needed to power or charge are dual-voltage, like my computer, iPhone and Kindle, all of which automatically switch to local current when plugged in. But my hair curling brush is not. In case you are not familiar with this, in Europe and many other places the standard current is 220 - 240 V. In the US it is 110 - 120 V. If you plug a 110 appliance into a 220 outlet with just an adaptor, you will fry it and possibly start a fire with its smoldering remains. In that case you need a converter, which steps the power down from 220 to 110. This one is really perfect and I wish I had it with me when I discovered my mistake. I will definitely bring it along on the next trip!! This unit is relatively light at 1.5 pounds, and compact. It won't take up much space in your luggage and is unlikely to cause you to exceed your weight limit. This unit plus a small gang plug with a couple of standard outlets and some USB ports should get you through. It is easy to find out whether your destination uses 110 or 220 voltage. Just google it. Your appliances should all state whether or not they are dual voltage, often on the plug if not on the body of the appliance. If they don't or you're not sure, use a converter like this one. It's better to be safe than ruin what might be either expensive or impossible to replace on short notice or when you're traveling.

good for traveling out of the country
this adapter was perfect for when I traveled outside the US. it didn’t blow any fuses when i would use my blow dryer. it has a good voltage power as well

too heavy for travel
I needed a voltage converter to take to Europe for my Dyson air wrap but even though this is compact enough it weighs like a brick. I don't think it would be portable enough for travel.

Heavy duty!
This step down voltage converter weighs a solid pound — definitely something to consider when going overseas if bag weight is a concern. However, this converter will allow me to safely use my straightener and hair dryer while in Europe. Always good to have if you are an avid traveler!
