Does not use the Thunderbolt protocol! Great, but keep in mind!
Samsung Magician software won't see if the drive inside if it's a Samsung drive. Fast, beautifully built, well cooled, but keep in mind if Thunderbolt protocol is something you explicitly need. If you were planning to update the firmware in a 990 Pro, you might need to put it in the machine directly before putting it in this enclosure.

Blazing fast but unstable (for me)
Well built and reasonably compact considering that it has a fan inside. The rubber jacket is a nice and protective addition. It did not include a Thunderbolt 4 cable in the package which means you can't get the full performance right out of the box. Although I was able to achieve well over 4000 MB/s read and write on Blackmagic Disk speed 1 GB test with a Samsung 2TB 990 Pro, the connection to the MAC regularly dropped under sustained load, resulting in a "disk ejected" message. It wasn't reliable enough for large file transfers and video rendering. Unfortunately I ended up returning it and settling on slower but more reliable Thunderbolt 4 enclosure. I would have loved to keep it if it was more reliable. It is possible that this is a specific defect with this particular unit.

Waste of money
i bought this enclosure i was happy with the speed the problem is this enclosure disconnect after 20 min of using and u need to reopen it remove ssd and put it back , and after that he keeps disconnecting bad encloser dont buy it

Don't waste your money
It's not working and sadly I miss my windows to return it I try everything just didn't work feel like this not even ssd since you can feel the disk is moving inside Bad product that why it's so cheap for 4TB
