Really does work
I recently purchased a house that was built in 1850 that had a few small concrete repair jobs that needed to happen. Unfortunately, the week I decided to take on this project, we had a decent amount of rain and were forecasted for more. Rather than miss out on the opportunity to get this much needed task done, I looked up ways to harden concrete faster. Turns out you can use calcium chloride. I was skeptical and then got distracted by other projects but when I saw it, I ordered it. About a month later I decided that it was time and of course more rain was forecasted. Remembering that I had the calcium chloride, I added it into the concrete per the YouTube instructions that I found. And surprisingly, it worked. I can't say that I'm a master at anything other than googling directions on how to do things but the job turned out well and it's one item crossed off of my to-do list. Given the unpredictable weather, I think I'll just add calcium chloride to any concrete job from now on because worrying about when it will dry and how fast it will dry and will it rain is stressful. This takes the stress out of the task.

CaCl2 at lab qualities
As a chemistry teacher, I sometimes need a higher quality CaCl2 than the generic ice melt I buy from the hardware store for experiments in class. This product fits that need. There isn't much to say about it. The particles are fine. It's a good size container at half a kilogram.

Great seal !
Well, this is something that maybe isn't the most important part of the product, but I really appreciate how they sealed this product. Ive got other things in the past that have spilled out and had broken seals. This doesnt its sealed very well. Beyond that you get 500g calcium chloride. Which seems to be a decent a ammount. This Calcium chloride will work great as a de-icing agent for the winter time for my parents who live in a snow filled area. While I don't intend to use it for such, it also advertises that it is a concrete accelerator as well, which is an interesting use if you need to get concrete to dry faster, I suppose. Its also lab grade so the quality of it isnt cheap at all

Really absorbs moisture well
I have a storage locker that gets a little humid when it rains. I've been using this calcium chloride to absorb the moisture. First I put on an N95 mask and nitrile gloves before I start to handle the calcium chloride. Then I put some of the powder into DIY tea bags. I tie some string around the bags so I can hang them in the locker. And this has worked well, as the bags really do absorb the moisture in the air. The price point is pretty good considering what alternative methods would cost. I'm quite pleased with this product for what I am using it for.

Granular CaCl
I haven't tried this CaCl out yet but it's nice to have around just in case. It's an inorganic salt. This is a large (500g) tub and some of the recommended uses are: de-icing, desiccant, chemical manufacturing and concrete accelerant. I will likely use this for its de-icing properties on our sidewalk and deck/deck stairs. I think we are finished with snow this year so I am going to have to put it aside until next year. It is also great to have a desiccant around just in case one of my kids dunks a phone in water or spills liquid on it. It has a course to medium granular texture so it's a perfect morphology for using on icy sidewalks etc. It would also be perfect to place some of the granules in an organza pouch or bag and place a wet phone next to it in order to dry it out.

Good CaCl2
This came freshly sealed with no moisture inside whatsoever. You get half a kilo for a good price and this seems to be high purity based on my tests. I have nothing bad to say about this product. If you need some pure CaCl2 definitely give this brand a try!
