Robust and Effective
Nice design bottle and robust feeling plastic. I have not used it on a hike yet, but I tested it at home. Being a belt and braces type of person I never rely totally on filtration for off grid clean water and always chlorinate water first even on my big filtration setup. I chlorinated some water and after 30 minutes put it into the HISOIT bottle. You could add a chlorine tablet straight to the bottle. After screwing the lid on firmly and closing the cap there was no leakage when the bottle was inverted. There is an air intake on the inner lid which is neccesery to allow air intake while drinking with the bottle upright. The air intake is sealed by a moulded piece on the cap when its closed. If you invert the bottle while the outer cap is up unfiltered water will drip out of the air intake. I found it easy to suck the water up through the filter straw on the filter bottle and It removed all the chlorine taste from the water. For comparison you could taste the chlorine in the water before it was filtered. So far so good. Edit: After using this for a month I find it very good for drinking water. Its only limitation is you can't use it to provide water for a brew or cooking as it relies on you suck the water up the filter straw by mouth to drink. If there was a pump that could seal over the end to pump up water through the straw to a separate container that would be a great addition.

Good value for money
Absolutely love this! Exactly as described, very good for the money. and easy to get the replacement filter (I've brought a spare ready). Only wish it had a strap, otherwise perfect

works fine
Works fine for me. Used once on hiking - I drank 2 bottles of spring water. Water tasted good. I didn't had any abdominal pain or any gastric problems after. Easy to use.

Waste of money
Handle broken in seconds of unboxing, straw falls out of lid while carrying around so unable grantee getting clean water though filter . Straw falls out every time the lip is opened to refill took it on trip used for the first day and had to carry the useless bottle for the rest of the week .

Perfect To Keep In Our Emergency 72 Hour Pack! - But The Lid’s A Bit Flimsy?
With everything going on in the World at the moment, I’ve decided to put together a 72 Hour Pack for my Family and I, so that in an Emergency situation where you might have to leave your Home in a rush, you can just grab a bag/rucksack and have everything in it to allow you all to Survive, at least for 3 Days. Clean drinking water is a necessity for survival, so instead of taking the water with you and adding that extra weight (because it’s certainly not light), then why not make Life a bit easier by having an item like this “HISOIT” Water Filter Bottle with Life Straw! It’ll basically filter out 1,500 Litres of Dirty Water through either the bottle, or taking the filter out and using it as a Straw directly from the Water Source. The Bottle will hold 17 fl oz, which is approximately Half a Litre and is made of Plastic - Okay, the Lid’s a little bit Flimsy and there’s probably better Quality ones out there, but for the Price of £23.99 and then a 10% off voucher currently on the advert which brings it down to just £21.59, I don’t think that’s bad for something that could potentially Save your Life one Day? Overall, I’m Happy with it and it’s gone straight into our 72 Hour Pack, which I’m hoping we’ll never have to use! Thank you.
