Telfa Non Adherent Dressing Pads - 2 Inches X 3 Inches - 100 Ea

These pads are a marvel in field dressings. Traditional gauze pads can adhere to your wounds as the blood coagulates and starts to form a scab. The result is when you take the gauze off, it can peel off the protective layer your body has started building and cause the wound to bleed again (not to mention it hurting more.)With this type of non-adherent pad, you don’t have to worry about inflicting extra pain or dealing with extra bleeding because they come off smoothly. Scabs do not adhere to them but instead build underneath them. I don’t understand the science behind them, but I can tell you firsthand they work.I keep these stocked in my first aid kit and have used them on my own wounds over the years. These are slightly thinner than some other brands I have used, but they work just as good so I actually prefer these now.

The Telfa non-adherent pads are great - totally true that they do not stick to the wound or surgical incision - very comfortable against the skin & wound! There are a 100 pads in the box - so it’s an excellent buy for your money !! Excellent product !!

Purchased thes to help with stroke victim with issues of bleeding easily. These do not stick to the wound!

These telfa pads worked so much better than bandaids. One, due to awkward shape/location (ears) and two because I only needed a small amount of medical paper tape to ensure adhesion & placement. They molded well around the ear, and temp held shape while accessing paper tape to secure. I cut some to size for different wounds. They gently adhere without causing issues with wound. Also relieved to avoid painful bandaid adhesive as long term use required. I would definitely buy these again.

I bought these a couple of years ago when my husband had surgery on his thumb. They worked really well for that, but I didn't take much notice. But a few days ago, 5 to be exact, I was boiling water in my microwave to make nectar for the hummingbirds as I have hundreds of times before, and the boiling water exploded right out of the purex bowl onto the backs of my hands! Like a dummy, I was not wearing my long silicone gloves right when I needed them (lesson learned ...again), just my finger gloves:( I've had burns before, and all are bad, but this one, especially on my right hand, is a dilly. Anyway, I needed to keep a layer of antibiotic ointment on the burn, so I've been putting that on and covering with one of these telfa pads 2-3 times a day. They don't stick at all, provide protection and ensure a moist environment for the burn to heal. Wow, I cannot believe the positive difference over these 5 days and the pad is a big part of the reason for the improvement. I highly recommend them if this sort of thing happens to you, but most of all, be careful and try not to have a reason for them :)
