Works Great
Been using this since the 70's.When you use it daily and know what it is for and how it works it is a five star product.I can easily see a novice giving it a one star. It doesn't hold windows in. Push points do that.It has many other uses and a pro painter has it ready to use on a daily basis. With a bit of practice you can do old Windows very quickly with the correct putty knife.

A nightmare in a jar
I watched a number of videos on using this product and you are supposed to be able to warm it in your hands and roll it into a rope for easy installation. Well forget about that from happening. Maybe if you age the compound for six months you might. But if you get a fresh batch like I did it is mushy as cake frosting and any rope you try to make falls apart on the ground. It suck so badly to my hands and tools that making a sharp edge with a putty knife simply isn't possible. The excess cannot be wiped off with your knife and what is still stuck to your hands and knife cannot even be cleaned off with a rag. Tools cleaned up fine with mineral spirits but the instructions caution you not to use that on your hands. In fact nothing they propose will get it off. So you can conclude you have to use mineral spirits against their warnings. What a nightmare this turned out to be and hour just to glaze to tiny window glass panes and another hour to clean-up. At this rate my job will be done in one month. Horrible stuff. Don't buy.

Overall I'm happy with it
Used to re-glaze some 100 year old window panes on a door. Make sure to watch some tutorial videos before you use it for the first time. It does take forever to harden to the point where it wont dent from your fingernail. I waited over a week to prime and then a couple more weeks before doing my final coats of paint but it was still fragile at that time. I want to say it took at least 3 months to really harden enough to avoid accidental denting, unfortunately I had touched it a couple times by then and it has some finger dents. Overall I'm happy with it, you just have to be patient and understanding of how this product works. I will use it again.

Do not buy this.... it’s crap
This stuff is horrible. Followed the directions and 14 days later no sign of it glazing over.... still as soft as the day I put it in. Pick up the window frame and window starts to fall out. Ended up having the glass shop install it with something that actually works

Best glazing compound
Best glazing compound there is. I've reglazed a lot of windows. I wouldn't use any other brand.

The number 1 glass window glaze
Relatively easy to use. Sometimes dries up in your shed. Best to store with vinyl electrical tape around the seal. A must for people with older homes.

Easy to use!
I’ve never glazed a window before. This product was very easy to use. Cleaned up well. Dried smooth. Zero issues. Would use again for sure.

difficult to get even in the window pane for a novice like me. takes a few days to dry and then needs to be painted with oil base paint. The reason i bought white was so i wouldn't have to paint it. ugh.

Easy enough for a not-so-handy person's diy job.
I am not terribly handy, but found this glazing compound pretty easy to use. A 10"x24" pane in our door was leaking because of cracks in the old glazing compound on the exterior side. After cleaning out the old product I was able to put this in and get it all smoothed out in about 30 minutes. I put it in when the weather was about 75 degrees and sunny and it got a little sticky and tough to work with, so perhaps next time I would work with it in slightly cooler temperature. I didn't realize there was such a long wait time for it to cure, but after a couple weeks it took the primer and paint just fine and it looks great! Better, in fact, than the pane adjacent to it so I may have to do that one as well. Luckily the weather will be in the 60's so I think this will go a little more quickly this time around. I have a ton of this product left even after wasting much more of it than I assume most people do and it hasn't hardened though I opened it up and used it about 4 months ago.

"Old style" glazing compund. Hard to work with, slow to dry. Next time I'll try more modern stuff--acrylic glazing in a caulking gun type tube.
