GW 494 Tart/Votive Wax, 10 Pound Bag - AAK/Golden Wax, off white

My favorite tart wax.

I make wax melts and love this wax mixed with 10% paraffin or stearic acid to add just a little more hardness. It performs really well and will hold 10% fragrance load easily. I have used 11 and 12% without any leakage. It does frost, but I haven't come across a soy wax that doesn't. Heats and melts easily. The flakes make it easy to use and measure out. Great value for the money. You can find the wax cheaper at a candle supply, but by the time you add shipping, you're paying the same amount and waiting longer to get it.

I overall am satisfied with this wax. It definitely has a great scent throw for the cost. The wax holds up good. I will say the only thing i dont like is that the wax needs to sit for 5-7 days before it can be used. But obviously thats not a huge downfall to cause the star rating to change. overall its a great wax and definitely has a good scent throw compared to the para soy wax i was using before. Just make sure that you are keeping the wax after being poured and set in a cool temp room. Soy wax seems to melt when in warmer climates. other then the minor flaws i still recommend it to anyone making wax melts.
