This is an expensive water holder but it's worth it to spend money for a quality product that will hold up over the years. I use the enclosed "S" hook to attach it to a rod so I can have water handy. The "S" hook is large enough to keep the pot relatively stable. The lid fits well but I don't use it so I can't comment much about it. A friend saw mine and decided to get one for themselves.

They got it right with the sealing system on this brush cleaner. The basket does a great job of scrubbing off the excess oil from the brushes. With the bottom larger than the top, it's not prone to tipping over. Heavy duty little unit.

The quality of this item is the bomb. It does what it’s supposed to do and the lid’s fit is great. Easy to use and is helpful in that when you clean Your brush, you have a lot of clean water and the little overhang that you can rub your brush on to get the paint off.

I got this to carry odorless mineral spirits outside for oil painting. It doesn’t leak, has a secure lid and a nice perforated screen and brush wiping clip in the inside. Be careful with how you hold onto the wire bail as it will pop off and drop the container if you stress it too much. I think I’ll turn the wire ends with a small needle nosed pliers to prevent that.

Nice, works well and can be locked to keep chemicals in place.

No leaking, easy to use, lightweight and very sturdy.

It’s a very useful tool for any artist who works with oil paints and brushes. It saves your expensive brushes from going stiff after every use, if use traditional methods of cleaning. Just make sure all the paint pigments are totally off your brush then wipe off your brush with paper towel or similar material. This method will keep your brush bristles clean & soft as it supposed to for the next use!

I wish I could return all the cheap plastic water containers & brush washers I ever bought.. because this item is so far superior! I'm glad I went with the large size because it suits my purposes perfectly.. it's a cute, fat, little pot lol. I'm a home artist, big fan of mixed media & painting. I saw an instructor use one of these on Skillshare, figured I'd check it out. And surprise, it's AWESOME :) This was designed SO well, I just love it. The brush washer removes the paint pigment & it sinks down leaving you with cleaner water longer. The size works, even my longest handled brushes don't fall out. Even the lid is useful as a mini pallet or brush rest. It's just so nice to get a product that is of great quality but also well designed. The brush scraper/ water wringer bar is so simple yet so helpful. Seals well, great little carrying handle. I have one teeny tiny con: the brush washing basket tends to wiggle around a bit inside the pot, can feel a tad unstable if there's a few big brushes in there. Would be perfect if the basket sat solidly or locked in somehow. Aside from that, I would def buy this as a gift for an art friend and would very much recommend this to anyone that likes art & paint!

Hasn't leaked yet and bigger than the average brush washer

Arrived slightly marked at the base which was strange since it was packaged so thoroughly? The handles are very sharp and resulted in cuts on my fingers. I found it difficult to open due to the sharpness of these clamps. For $40 it is very disappointing and certainly not up to the quality I was expecting.

I'm glad I finally ditched my badly designed Holbein container, with all its gunking up, and poor seal... you couldn't get the inner cup out after a while! This one is actually a bit big, it's simply enormous! However, I like that it has a solid seal (3 clamps) for transport! Also, the inner cup sits very loosely (a bit much for my taste, but maybe it needs to be) and can easily be removed for cleaning. I will be ordering the smaller version as well, I think I'll be very happy with that! In the meanwhile, this is doing a fine job!

I use it for my airless spray tips with thinners. Doesn’t leak and works great.
