This tool seems OK on first use, but I can't say if the will stay sturdy under heavy use. The parts seem well made. My primary complaint is that the adjustable tubes have no stop or detent and are easy to pull apart if you over-extend them. I am going to have to measure the tubes, scribe and mark them to keep from pulling them apart all the time. I knocked off a star for this missing detail. Also, all of the working parts are lightly plated and painted, so I suspect that they would rust very fast if they are stored damp or get wet from work and are not completely dried before storing them.The top and bottom work pads seem thick enough and are not too hard to remove for storage. They are made of thick plastic that doesn't look like it would split or crack easily.
