Comes with 2 keys, as for extras I don't know but seems you should be able to.

Q: Can three units be keyed alike?

It's a barrel key, so you'll have to ask a lock smith.

Q: will it properly secure a 3" ring or will it be too loose?

They use the round keys so not easily duplicated, like keys used for bike locks. Not sure if you can order up extra sets.
