Feels durable
I make empanadas often. Typically I just roll the side of the dough manually, but if you plan to make 100 empanadas, this cones in handy.I got the 5in, I wouldn't go any larger than this, if feels actually a but large already.I am confused about the size of the dough cutter, feels lit it is oversized. I would rather have a built in cutter on the side of the press instead.

MUMSUNG Empanada Maker Press
I've been cooking for a long time, longer than I like to think about, but I've never tried making empanadas, calzones, turnovers, etc that required dough. So this is a review from, for all intents and purposes, a complete neophyte. I do love kitchen gadgets, though. The booklet that comes with the item is very thorough and appears to be written by someone in command of the English language (I'm sure most of us have tried to decipher poorly-translated instructions, so this factor alone was worth a mention). Now, when I used the (included) cutter to cut the pizza dough, the resulting circle seemed somewhat large for the press, but I'm sure there are reasons for that. Also, the dough seemed to stick to the press when I went to remove it. I saw another reviewer's suggestion that a light coating of oil helped with that issue, so I'm definitely going to try that next time. You really need to press down hard on the press to get the crimping, but I was able to get a decent calzone in spite of all my newbie floundering. I really like the spoon that was thoughtfully provided with the press. It was sort of a cross between a spoon and a scoop, and ideal for getting the right amount of filling measured out. All in all, I was quite amused by my own efforts, and any struggles I had can definitely be chalked up to this being a new challenge for me. I look forward to making more goodies in the future with this and improving my efforts!
