Avalon Organics Intense Defense Lip Balm, 0.25 oz.

I've been hooked on chapstick ever since I saw my dad putting on some when I was about 9 or so. Unfortunately, this was bad as I became dependent on this stuff to moisturize my lips. Fast forward almost 20 years and I had been using blistex but still needing to apply every few hours or so. Then I got a cold sore on my lip but didn't know what it was and since I was at work couldn't pop into a pharmacy to find out. I applied chapstick like crazy and ended up spreading the stupid thing. By the time I was told what it was and what to put on it later that day, my lips were already scarred and have been for a few years since this incident. Recently I tried Avalon's lip balm from Whole Foods (along with a few other brands to find something better than blistex). At first it felt a little thick on my lips but I grew accustomed to it. I realized the quality of it however when I realized I had gone from applying blistex every few hours to only applying the Avalon lip balm a few times a day! Also the scarring was starting to go away.Because I don't regularly shop at Whole Foods I'm very thankful that Amazon carries this so I don't have to make a special trip (because I would if I had to!). Since I've been using this product for an extended time, the scarring is all but gone on my lips and my lips only feel dry a few times a day as opposed to every hour or so as before. I like the orangey smell too and am so happy I found this product.

Paying $6 for a single tube of Lip Balm made me cringe at first but after using this stuff for a few days I can honestly say this stuff is great! It's not heavy or greasy feeling like most of the balms out there, and it doesn't feel gross or strange but instead coats the lips with no weird residue feeling after. The orange scent is amazing, and after a couple of applications my lips felt really smooth and hydrated unlike anytime before. It's also matte and not glossy so it doesn't look like you have anything on your lips. It's just a really great lip balm! If, like me. you're apprehensive about paying $6 for a single tube of lip balm, let me assure you that it is well worth the price! I will be buying again and again! Buy in bulk and save $$!

Vitamin C helps protect from sun damage. It’s soft so don’t screw the product real high, just enough to get a dab on lips and then rub in with your ring finger. It’s so nice and comforting. I hope Avalon never discontinues this balm. It’s a staple for me.

In the last few years, my lips started drying and cracking all year round, not just in the winter. It was terrible. Ordinary lip balm didn't help. I started noticing that I was losing color on one side of my mouth as well, probably due to the fact that I soked for many years. I quit 30 years ago, but that didn't prevent this from happening. So I started applying my Vitamin C serum to my lips, and started looking for a lip balm with Vitamin C as well. Here it is! It is SO creamy and rich. I love it. It doesn't taste good when I eat or drink anything, though, so I apply it when I am about to go to bed, and only use it overnight. But even using it only overnight, it has worked wonders on my lips. I highly recommend this product!

I love this stuff. I bought it randomly at a Whole Foods last year and have not wanted to part with it since. So many lip products don't delivery or quit delivering after a little while. I like this one because of the immediate healing effect it has on my lips, even in pretty bad winter conditions. And I like that it offers a slight glossy look to my lips after application. Taste not bad either. This does not have the waxy feel or taste that some of the lip balms I've used, even the natural ones.

Very nice orange scent, works really well and moisturizes for a long time. My hands-down favorite lip balm, love this stuff, just wish it was a little cheaper.

Suffering ever since this product ceased to be made. Don’t know which ingredient was so important, but I’ve been trying to figure that out. This was a medicine that my skin requires.

Five stars all the way! I've always used Classic Chapstick and it was just so so, and I like aquaphor enough, but my lips still always felt like they were dry, peeling, cracked, bleeding....terrible.SO I found this on amazon and thought I would try the natural route....so glad I did, I will never use another lip balm ever again except this one, it rocks, it tastes good, lasts a long enough time, moisturizes like crazy, just after one use my lips look amazing, I even noticed people staring at them at work (not in a bad way)! I don't wear any makeup so it's important for my lips to be healthy not dry. After a week of using this product my lips are the best shape they have ever been in. I have sensitive skin/lips and I had no reaction, no burning, nothing, just beautiful lips!!! Buy it!! Now!!!

Humecta muy bien pero la textura es muy como mantequilla

El balsamo no me gustó se siente un poco grasoso y deja los labios muy blancos tiene consistencia de pomada. Lo subí de más y luego ya nunca bajo. No lo recomiendo mucho
