First, let me say that I hate weeds (thanks Adam and Eve). :-)Next, my motivation for buying this product is because I received multiple HOA violations for weeds in my front yard so I needed to wipe them out ASAP and knew adding something "sticky" would up my chances for success so I looked around online, read reviews and decided this product appeared to met my needs at a good price point so I purchased it.I didn't have time do a muti-phase pilot to compare this product to other surfactant products or to a weed spray mix (sans the surfactant), sorry. I just needed the weeds dead and I can report that they have died and returned to the earth from "whence they came".So I guess this stuff works or at least didn't prevent the weeds from dying. In fact, I had so much area to spray that I was getting low on my first bottle and was afraid of not having any the next time I needed it so I already purchased bottle #2.

Bonide Turbo Spreader Sticker helps the herbicide stick to the weed. Imagine adding something sticky like honey to your weed-killer. Since the weed-killer chemical is absorbed through the leaves of the weed, it is important that the chemical stick to the leafy portion of the weed, and not just drip off immediately. I think you can add this to any liquid herbicide, and it will increase it's effectiveness. It also helps prevent run-off because of its sticky properties, it helps the herbicide stay localized even in the event of rain. This is also called a Nonionic Surfactant, etc. Useful for all weeds, but particularly helpful for those weeds that grow faster than grass and stick up above the lawn top-surface. If it is worth using herbicide, it is worth making sure that it sticks to the weed for maximum killing properties.

i had grass amongst my creeping juniper ground cover. i had tried unsuccessfully to pull the grass out by the roots. i could not find grass-only killer at my big box store. i bought this product along with the bonide 7458 grass killer after reading advice in other reviews. mixed them together as directed in those reviews and applied with a spray bottle. after one week grass was brown. applied a second coat and the grass died. the ground cover was unharmed. can't beat that. i don't know if this item was required to make the grass killer effective, but i can say that the combination worked great and i am not unhappy that i bought both.

I use this spreader to mix my oil and water mixes and with pesticides to spray our exotic tropical hibiscus plants. Thank you!

works a bit to well. I sprayed my weeds with this product combined with DRIVE XLR8. It killed the weeds dead cuz it stuck to the leaf. but it left alot of burnt and brown spots where the dead weeds are now. So i can't fault the product for doing what it's suposted to do. If you want to kill off a lawn that is 80% weeds get this to add to your weed killer. If you have a green a green lawn with a few weeds, and you want to rid you turf of the pests. Be carefull and use it with a lighter hand. You will be happy you went with less than more.

Product is easy to use and works very well. Mixed with Weed Beater on all but a small section of my lawn. The section of lawn this product was applied to saw almost immediate results. The smaller section of lawn I used no surfactant at all and while I did see results and good results it was much slower to occur. This one bottle goes a long way and is well worth using. Couldn't be more happy with the results I've seen.
