ZojirushiSteel Food Jar, 25-Ounce, Black/Stainless

I'm a soup and stew lover for lunch when I'm out and about. This keeps my food hot for a minimum of 6 hrs. I haven't tested it for more than that, but I suspect it could go 8 hrs. easily. I don't like eating at fast food places, so when I'm on the road, I pull over at a rest area and enjoy homemade chili, veggie beef soup etc., and a sandwich and I'm good to go. I really like the fact that the wide mouth enables me to eat directly out of the jar and get every last drop. I've not tried it with various pasta favorites (mac and cheese, spaghetti, etc.), but I believe it will do well. With a capacity of 25 oz. it holds plenty of food for one person, and I like to eat. 🤠. I know it doesn't have a fold open spoon like some, but I just rubber band a real soup spoon to the jar from my kitchen drawer. No big deal.

I can’t say enough good things about the Zojirushi Steel Food Jar! This product truly works like black magic when it comes to insulation. It keeps my food hot for hours—perfect for soups and curries for lunch. I’ve even had meals still steaming when it’s time to eat!Durability is another standout feature. I’ve been using this food jar almost daily for over 5 years, and it still performs like new. It’s definitely built to last!The only downside I’ve encountered is cleaning the lid. Food tends to accumulate in the crevice, which can be a bit of a hassle. I’ve found that a thin flexible brush works wonders, or sometimes I just soak it overnight in soapy water for a thorough clean.Overall, despite the minor cleaning inconvenience, I wholeheartedly rate the Zojirushi Steel Food Jar 5 out of 5. It’s an indispensable part of my daily routine, and I highly recommend it!

It’s so good it keeps the food warm.

I love Zojirushi a lot. I used the coffee mug before than I purchased this one. This stainless steel food jar is fantastic! It keeps my meals hot for hours and is perfect for taking food on the go. The build quality is excellent—it’s sturdy, leak-proof, and the stainless steel design is both sleek and durable. I also love how easy it is to clean. It’s a great option for anyone looking to keep their food fresh and warm throughout the day. Highly recommended.

I purchased this is Aqua and Shiny Pink. They are beautiful! They are also functional. We've had the Thermos Foogo for many many years. We had to replace them because of the mold in the lid and the fact that my kids lunch were cold by lunchtime. I was hesitant to purchase these since they did cost more and I thought we would have the same results. My children say their food is still warm at lunch, sometimes even still hot where they have to blow it. I don't have to prewarm them with hot water. I just put in the food super hot in the morning (around 7am) and lunch is around 11:30am. So far, it's been leakproof. The only downside is to thoroughly clean the lid, you have to take the top compartment, rubber ring, and rubber stopper off to clean/dry. Very happy with this purchase. Great investment.EDIT: I originally gave it 5 stars, dropped it to 4 stars for now. Depending on if the food jar still works without the valve on the lid, I may drop another star. With multiple purchases, daily use, daily washing, being used by kids, it was a matter of time before the valve was either washed too often or will become loose and lost. We lost the valve in the sink somehow, looked to get replacement parts, thinking it would be $1-2 (even then, felt that was pricey for a rubber valve but willing to pay it anyways). One replacement valve is $6.70. To replace the lid was $9.75. If the food jar does not hold temp without the valve, which I suspect it probably won't, I may test out the Hydroflask food jar. Same price jar with excellent reviews.

I use this ever single day for work. I like to make a smoothie with frozen fruit for my lunch, and this keeps it freezing cold no matter what time I take my lunch. It works very well for hot food as well. Strong recommend!!!!

It's great, it retains heat for a very long time.

I've been using this jar to do overnight oats for a long time now, but excellent for yogurt or soup as well. The 11.8 oz is the perfect size for one hearty serving for a ~200 lb man. The gasket/lid seal is very well designed. I've had zero leaks no matter what I've done with the jar. There is a steam/pressure relief in the lid, as well as a small storage compartment for dry toppings/ add-ins. The jar and lid is super easy to clean. Immerse in a some soapy water, use a sprayer faucet attachment to flush out the lid; rubber gasket is easy to remove, clean, and replace. I recommend you use silicone or plastic utensils when eating out of this jar though, as they won't scratch the highly polished interior and will preserve the easy cleaning. High Quality product.
