Finally got Full Dolby Atmos working on my Sonos Arc with PS5, Xbox Series X & Apple TV!
Recently bought a 100” Hisense U8K, limitations are it only has 1 eARC port which also is 1 of 2 HDMI ports that supports 4K gaming up to 144Hz( PS5 and Xbox series X both support 4K 120Hz). So I needed an audio extractor to allow full Dolby Atmos to work with all of my gaming consoles/Apple TV streaming with my Sonos Arc, Gen3 Sub & Era 300 speakers. I connected my Sonos Arc to my eARC HDMI port on my TV then connected this amazing audio extractor/HDMI splitter and connected my PS5, Xbox series X and Apple TV to the other HDMI port that allows 4K 144hz to allow them to run at their max capabilities, everything works seamlessly! I have even connected an IPTV Box and my Nintendo Switch directly to the TV so it has been great. This thing is built well and will fix your issues if you ran into the same issues as myself. The Sonos app will show if your audio signal is truly in Dolby Atmos which I highlighted in the photo for proof. All of my consoles/streaming boxes/IPTV are all hardwired via Ethernet on my gigabit fiber service to maximize speed.

Does the job I needed it to, and fixed other issues!
I don't normally leave reviews, but this switch and audio extractor has done the job and done it well! We initially bought this with plans for adding a projector, but I use a soundbar at the front with only HDMI ARC line in. I wanted to send the audio straight to the soundbar and the video to the back of the room to the projector without dealing with any audio pass-through and the ability to have multiple sources; this will work perfectly for that.On another note, it fixed something I didn't know I needed. Until we get a projector we are using an older Samsung TV on the wall. When using my Atmos system, I didn't realize older TVs struggle to send that much information through ARC ports (this TV doesn't have eARC) which can cause weird video/audio timing issues, and no matter how I adjusted the Audio Delay options on both my soundbar and tv, it never got it quite right. Being able to completely bypass the TV's audio processing and run it straight to the soundbar fixed all my issues! Glad to have this to help in both the now and the future when I get a projector.

Solid switch with some flaws
Update: Never mind the battery was fine, I just didn't realize the IR sensor is an external cable that needs to be plugged in. Somewhat of a bummer for cable management but better than a dead battery I guess. Ended up just sticking the sensor to the top of the switchFirst, be wary of the other reviews, almost all of the other 5* reviews are from people who received this product for free. This is significant because it means they don't deal with this switches largest shortcoming: its extravagant price. The audio extraction functionality is neat but for the casual user it's meaningless. Additionally, I struggled to get surround sound to work with the audio extraction. I ended up turning it off and just using the normal HDMI pass through.Make no mistake, the remote control is as basic as they come. Annoyingly, it uses a CR2025 Li-O battery which is a pain to replace. Even more annoyingly, mine came with the battery already dead...so I have to manually toggle thr inputs while I get that replaced. It's a solid switch and it works with HDMI 2.1 so you can get your PS5 surround sound, but just be aware that there is almost certainly cheaper options out there especially if you don't care about the audio extraction (which most people probably don't).

Doesn't work well
When it was 1st hooked up it smelled like burnt CPUs for about 2hrs . Couldn't get my sony soundbar to work as it should woth it using Earc it was phasing the sound from the TV making it have a delay. And volume control separately. And this morning went to play Xbox and it popped and the screen disappeared for 30 secs, then tried to do playstation and no sound would work. And the remote control came DOA . Wouldn't work at all. I bought a new battery but didn't help. The manual says not to leave it on for extended periods wotch doesn't fill me with confidence when the remote doesn't work. For the price $130+ this isn't what I expected. I'm more than willing to pay good money for a product but that product needs to do what it's supposed to do right from the start. Very disappointed.

Allowed me to add Dolby Atmos support to my Vava UST projector setup
Update:This device was promising, but there are issues that need to be ironed out. First, it dims the original picture quality; I have tested this by connecting the video source directly to my projector. Second, it loses the EDID settings that it reads from my soundbar, and I have to reset the device in order to have it read the correct EDID. This is annoying, because I lose Atmos when this happens. It also loses the EDID settings that is reads from my projector, in which I lose support for 4k. I have to reset the device in order to have support for 4k again. I will be returning this device, because apparently there are no firmware updates to resolve these issues. My Vava UST projector does not support eARC. Adding this splitter to the HDMI coming from my Amazon Fire Cube allowed me to divert Dolby Atmos to my Polk Signa S4 soundbar, and 4K to my Vava projector. If my Vava projector supported Dolby Vision, this splitter would allow me to send the Dolby Vision signal from my Amazon Fire Cube to the projector as well. The splitter is very versatile, and is a must have for anyone who owns a projector or TV that does not support eARC + Dolby Atmos/Vision passthrough.

Works!!
I don't understand why it so freaking hard to find a device that does what this does, but it works 100% ! You ABSOLUTLY need quality certified cables for video sync to work correctly. I'm splitting audio off my RTX 3090 and sending it to a Sonos Beam!
