Was pretty skeptical about these Pellets because I've tried all kinds. Whenever Cooking Brisket I could never achieve that nice Dark Bark like you can on an Offset. Any Offset smoker will tell you, you never will. After watching Smoke Trails BBQ, when he uses these Pellets; he was able to achieve very similar results to an Offset and let me tell you, he wasn't joking. This Flat Brisket I cooked came out amazing, will for sure try a whole brisket next! These Pellets however did not "last" longer than generic pellets, my results is there about that same. Atleast with my smoker.If you're like me and want to achieve the best Flavor, Bark and results; you should try these Pellets. I don't think you'll be disappointed!

Love em. Taste like campfire. In my ninja woodfire i somtimes have to reignite them but I believe that's only because they don't have additives like other cheaper pellets which I'd rather not have in my pellets and food anyways.

Puts out a lot of smoke. Puts great color on ribs but no smoke flavor.

I have only tried these twice, but I was blown away by how much better these are then the Traeger brand pellets. I am re-stocking all of my storage bins with these pellet as we speak. Pecan Fans, this is what you have been looking for.I bought a Traeger just over a year ago, because of peer pressure, and a clearance sale at Ace... I thought it was going to be amazing, easy to use, and game changing. It was, but in the wrong direction, coming from log/chunk smoking primarily, it went way backwards in the flavor category. Treager, cant hold a low temps, has trouble going from hot to hold temps, and has only whisp of smoke flavor (but the kids like it). The brand name pellets are primarily to blame. Anything that is made with oak, and is "flavored" pecan is a waste of money.Throwing these Pecan Shells into the Traeger (timberline), has 2X more visible smoke, 3x more enjoyable smell, better temp control, and a smoky flavor I can actually taste. I can hold 165f all day long. I can go from 225 up to 350 and then hold at 165 for 12 hours. Its like the Traeger is working the way that it should. And let me tell you the taste from the pellets, is equal to an offset log smoker within 2%. Its literally like night and day difference. I was honestly going to trash the Traeger, thinking it was just a useless gimmick. However these smoking pecan shell pellets will extend its life a few more seasons.If you have been to the Salt Lick outside of Austin Texas, this has the same smoke flavor. Something special...I would say that if you are going to smoke for more than 8 hours unwrapped, these shells will have done the job in the first 4 hours for a strong and sharp smoky bite. I would say put 10lbs of these shells in the hopper, and then top off with a hardwood pellet just for cheaper way to make heat.If you try these pecan shells, you will finally enjoy the meaty fruits of your pellet smoker.100% Worth it.Cheers...
