Speak the Blessing: Send Your Words in the Direction You Want Your Life to Go

This isn't the first Joel Osteen book I've read - I learn a lot and I'm inspired by this pastor's books. This book, "Speak The Blessing," in particular is really good. If you can apply the principles in this book to your life then it could change your life like it changes mine. My testimony is I was raised in a secular household and was an atheist until I was 27 years old - but thanks to God, the Good Shepherd has brought me from the pit to the palace. Miraculously, I no longer struggle with poverty (in all areas of my life) and depression. No one could help me but God alone. So I'm grateful for Joel because his messages/books/sermons, was vital to my growth and understanding in the faith (besides the Bible, of course) and I don't believe at all that my family and I would be where we are if we didn't speak the blessing over us and others, which is the theme of this book. This book is one of his shorter books. I always liked that he's good at getting to the point and doesn't ramble in my opinion. I give this 4 stars for being useful to my life and I like the writing style. One more star because any book that points to God's glory is good book in my opinion, helping me to stay inspired and growing in my faith. Osteen is one of my top 5 fave Christian non-fiction writers so I recommend giving this book a shot and see if it speaks to you.I read this on Kindle and also got a hardcover version for my grandmother, and both versions were fine.

I love being able to read the sermons I listen to on Siri . It keeps Joel’s teachings clear in my mind.

Excellent book! It reads like one of his podcasts - very smooth and easy. I really enjoyed his take on how our words shape our lives and very much agree with this. I devoured the book quickly and have implemented some of the suggested strategies into my daily routine. It's a great reminder to incorporate God into your daily life and a practical guide on how to become closer with Him. Well done, Joel!

so many blessings and so well read

I listen to Joel Osteen podcasts daily so I figured I would try a few of his books. This one has become one of my favorite books of all time. He is very inspirational and has helped me to come back to God on a closer level. I have been an alcoholic for over 13 years and his words and quoting scriptures and the way he explains the bible to the point I can actually understand it have helped me so much. Highly recommend this book if you are in a rut. Finances, addictions, health, children, depression, anxiety, fear, I mean he covers it all and makes you feel better.

It speaks truth, power and strength through your mouth.Very encouraging

Speaking words is something we do everyday to survive and obtain what we need. But as Joel Osteen states in his latest book, "Speak the Blessing", "the words you speak today shape the life you live tomorrow." This book contains 7 chapters and like all of Joels books it is filled with inspiring words that when followed will improve your life as well as those you speak with. I particularly liked Chapter 5-Kind words work wonders. To some this may be quite obvious but not readily practiced. As stated on pf. 112 "be generous with your compliments and be stingy with your complaints." Though this may not be easy to do , your words can bless others and have a lasting impact. Reading this book and following its advice can make both you and those you speak with more happy, healthy and blessed as your kind words will be nourishment for their soul .Recommended.

This book changed my perspective on so many things and it was really easy to read, filled with engaging stories and examples!! Would definitely recommend to anyone.

What a magnificent feeling book. I feel so in tune with God now. I now KNOW God’s knowing for me. I feel invincible & have let go of any fussing or worrying. Because I now KNOW all is well for me - eternally.All of Joel’s books are great. I very much appreciate him! This book and the ‘Power of I Am’ I find have been the most empowering and impactful on my life.Thank you Joel!
