If she writes it, I'll read it, no questions asked. She is hands down one of my favorite authors.Maggie and Brody unknowingly find themselves at the same resort in Bora Bora. Maggie is there for a much-needed vacation, while Brody, Maggie's brother's best friend, is there to attend his boss's daughter's wedding. When they literally bump into each other, Maggie is less than pleased to have Brody's presence interrupt her vacation and quest for single men in Speedos. However, when she sees an opportunity to advance her business, she quickly attaches herself to Brody as his fake girlfriend. It turns out neither of them wants this arrangement to be fake.I am obsessed! Meghan BROUGHT IT! Bridesmaid for Hire is hilarious! I was locked in from the prologue. There were times I stopped and re-read scenes because I couldn't believe something was happening or being said. The situations in which Maggie and Brody found themselves had me seriously laughing out loud. How does one go to such a beautiful place and have such bad luck? Poor Brody! I am a sucker for a good enemies-to-lovers and fake dating plot, and this story did not disappoint. Meghan always creates the best characters. I loved Maggie and Brody together. Their relationship was real and relatable. The side characters were also amazing and added so much to the story. The friendships and bromances in this story were so good. I need more of Hudson and Hardy! I enjoyed the enormous amount of humor, the witty banter, and the spice. Bridesmaid for Hire is a fun adventure and is the perfect summer read.NARRATION:This was a duet-style narration performed by Jason Clarke and Erin Mallon. Their performance was perfect, and I felt like I was watching a movie. I could absolutely listen to Jason and Erin narrate every single rom-com I read and never get bored. They portrayed the characters and their personalities very well. Jason and Erin really made me feel the tension and chemistry between Maggie and Brody. The romantic, spicy, and comedic moments were expertly executed. The book alone is amazing, but the narration takes this to a different level.

Enjoyable duet-narrated Almond Bay adjacent story…
Story: 4.5 ⭐️sNarration: 5 ⭐️sOverall I enjoyed Brody and Maggie’s (BFF of Hattie from The Way I Hate Him) love story. The far-away, dreamy location with a boss’s daughter destination wedding provided a fun setting for events and shenanigans to unfold. The brother’s BF trope can be tricky because of the potential for misogynistic infantilizing overtones, but those were happily absent here. The fake dating trope blended nicely with that, given the character dynamic between the MCs. Brody was a bit of an endearing goofball, but also brought the smexy when it counted. I enjoyed Maggie’s character slightly less - there were moments when she frustrated me - but I still enjoyed her chemistry with Brody. The secondaries in the book are great. I thought the BFF relationships between Brody and Gary, as well as Maggie and Hattie were so well-portrayed and joyful. They revealed as much about the MCs as the love story and that is always a big plus!Though there were many on brand MQ moments of hilarity, I liked some less than others because some resulted from cringe and embarrassment for the characters (especially Brody). This humor landed differently than other MQ’s I’ve read and such moments just aren’t for me. Despite those moments, there is still a lot I enjoy. This is another fantastic MQ audiobook. Jason Clarke and Erin Mallon were fabulous. Their talents complement each other and work really well with the duet format, which I just love and wish all audiobooks with two POV characters were produced this way! Clarke is the absolute perfect fit for Brody - an ideal balance of the goofiness and sexiness that just really worked for me as a listener. Mallon was also a great fit and her performance kept me liking Maggie even when the character’s behavior frustrated me.All in all this audio is another strongly recommended listen. Quinn just continues to bring her audio A-game and I can’t wait for the next!I received an ALC copy of the audiobook via the author’s team and read via KU. All opinions are my own.

“Sorry, Gare Bear, you’ve been great, but Maggie is far more important.”
Brody is such a delightful dork! He is the perfect amount of alpha male and silliness. I love him! Perfect book boyfriend! And he and Gary?! Perfect bromance relationship! They were so cute and funny and felt real. I loved their superstitions and girlie type attitude about “boys’” nights. They were great! He and Maggie were so fun together too! I love their banter and sexual frustration. I normally don’t like fake dating stories, but this one was really good! It made sense and flowed really well. Until the classic 3rd act breakup occurred. It wasn’t a bad reason… I just always hate them because they’re always about a miscommunication, and this was no exception. Sigh. But altogether, the story was good and Brody made up for any slight in the story! He’s a fav for sure! Another Quinn win!

Loved Them!
“ Yup, you’ve guessed it, Maggie Mitchell is my dream girl. “Maggie is on a well deserved vacation with plans to have an epic fling, then she finds out about the big wedding happening and the family who could get her business on the map.“The hold he has on me. I hate that I like it so much.”Brody’s mentor sends him to Bora Bora to get on their bosses good side who is there for his daughters wedding before his major pitch. He goes with no plan but he wasn’t expecting his best friends sister to show up and announce they are dating.“I don’t need space from you, Maggie.”Maggie and Brody decide to keep up the charade during their 10 day vacation to hopefully get what they both want. But the thing is, they don’t have the best relationship and have to share a room since Brody had no where to stay. This book had me out right cackling for about 80% of the book. When the family realizes they are short a bridesmaid, Maggie offers to step in and help by replacing that bridesmaid and helping Haisley, the bride, with anything she may need. The family invites them to their wedding week festivities but it seems like Brody doesn’t have the best luck. The situations they get themselves into was so entertaining to read and his inner monologue was absolutely hilarious.I loved their mutual pining, the banter, the chemistry between them and what they get to explore when certain truths of their past is revealed.I love how unexpected characters step up to help these two when bombs get dropped and the new friendships that they made.Next up is Hardy and Evelyn and I literally can’t wait!

First book I had to DNF
Hard pass from me, which I did not expect.I loved other books my Ms Quinn, and was hopeful that this would pick up the same banter that we found in Not so Meet cute, and the following two books.Sadly that’s not the case here. I found both characters deeply unlikeable, and was baffled what on earth would make this MMC desirable in the heroine‘s eyes. After reading 60% of the book, I still don’t know.I think he’s too realistic for a fictional man. I can find a hot mess like this dude on the street, which is precisely what I want to get away from when picking out a book to read.Stopped reading at 60-ish percent, because life’s too short for books that don’t bring you joy.

Thankfulky, no Alpha CEO here
I'm fed up of reading Ceo billionaire and a struggling female romances. This book was great fun, loved the characters, and it was laugh out loud at times. Brody is the perfect male lead, a hot idiot with a big heart and even better sense of humour. Maggie is also a fun, strong and hilarious female lead.

Laugh out loud fun
Perfect laugh out loud rom com! This is a steamy, fake dating, forced proximity romance and the first in a new series by author, Meghan Quinn. This was my first book by this author but it won't be my last. Some of the scenes were a bit out there but so hilarious you can't help but love them. The flirting and banter was top notch and when the spice finally hits its steamy and angsty all at once.Tropes include:- Fake dating- Forced proximity (on holidays)- One bedroom- Banter- Laugh out loud rom-com

Meghan does it again!
This story follows Maggie, who is heading to Bora-Bora for vacation from her busy wedding planning business in hopes for some holiday loving. She soon realises that one of the biggest weddings of the century is happening right here in the resort. Que Brody, her brother's best friend who is also at the resort trying to rub shoulders with the boss. Bickering back and forth, Maggie and Brody find themselves agreeing to fake date in hopes to benefit both of their careers.Going into a book written by Meghan, you know you're about to have the time of your life and come away with a new fictional bf. She does rom coms so well, that will have you actually laughing out loud while you swoon. So, we were introduced to Maggie in the Almond Bay series as a side character and I'm glad she got her own book because I adored her. My favourite thing in all of Meghan’s books are the “easter eggs” referencing characters from her previous books (feral for JP Cane). The story line was fun and kept me wanting to read on; Meghan does a really good job at constantly drawing you in. While falling in love with the main characters, I always find myself falling for the side characters too. I need books on Hudson and Hardy asap.I absolutely loved the mixture of banter and tension; the building was immaculate. I felt pent up with them. Overall, I think this book was beyond perfect, and I'd love to re-read it somewhere hot and sunny!Star: 4Spice:3Key Points:1st PersonDual POVHEATropes:Fake DatingBrother’s Best FriendEnemies to LoversForced ProximityOne BedRomantic Comedy
