You Shouldn't Have Come Here

Well ok then!
Ok, so I finished this book yesterday and I have to say I have way more questions than answers!I’m giving it 5 stars because I found it riveting and kept turning the pages so I’d get to the end, however, the ending’s surprise twist left me with trying to understand WHY??? I feel like the entire book and Grace’s experiences at the Airbnb were incongruous with her actions at the very end. I want to know more about her and what exactly made her tick. I loved the setting, the romantic connection between her and Calvin, the supporting cast of characters but what the heck? I am really wanting to have a discussion about this book with a friend who’s read it too so we could take a deeper dive and figure it all out. I guess the only way we’ll know for sure is if Ms. Rose offered up a sequel delving into Grace’s character. Overall a great read but I want to know more!

Slow start but worth staying around for the ending.
Read this for my local book club. I thought it moved kind of slow for a while but the ending!! Oh my goodness- never saw that coming! And we probably had the most lively discussion we’ve ever had!Lots of twists and turns and good/bad in the same characters.

A good time
I had a kindle edition from Libby .I read the kindle version and listened to the audio at work through Libby. It was a quick read/listen . Audio book was great. The book was good and interesting. I liked the switching pov and the not so right feeling of the characters was great . The twist I didn’t see coming but I think it could have been executed better. All in all I had a fun time reading and it was very enjoyable . It is worth a read and listen

RE: Well That Escalated Quickly
So this was a 4-star read until the last several chapters when things become clearer. There are several potential villains, in some cases underdeveloped, as the story evolves, and honestly, the love bombing that takes place seems a little incomplete. That sounds odd, but to clarify, love bombing is a very real thing; in this work, though, it seems to lack a middle. Initial lust does not automatically translate to actual love bombing, so it seems like there are details missing. But in the last several chapters Rose sheds new light on a few things and clarifies a few others. And this one most definitely makes one wonder just how safe the popular AirBnB option is when it is time to travel.TW: TBI, sibling rivalry, mental illness, addiction, violence,

Surprising Ending
I knew nothing about this book, which was chosen by my book club to read. All I did know was that it was very popular due to there being a two month wait list at my local library. I can’t say I loved it because it was just so weird for the most part. Calvin runs an Airbnb out of his ranch in the middle of Wyoming, and Grace is the guest staying for 10 days. Grace knows something is off with Calvin and his brother, but she still flirts with Calvin, which I couldn’t really understand. Her moods seem to swing wildly, one minute she’s into him, the next she’s suspicious of him. It took me a while to get into the story and then some things start to happen that kept me reading. I will say that I didn’t see the turn of events at the end coming at all. I was totally wrong about what I thought was going on and not sure if I liked the direction the author went with the characters. You’ll see what I mean when you read it. ;-)

Some people might like it, not so much me...
So so so predictable and filled with so much juvenile styled writing, I wonder if the author really wrote it?? I guess the twist(s) were interesting but the clichés about the "city girl" and the "country boy" and tired troupes about small towns in the middle of nowhere were cringy at best. I continued to read it only because I wanted to know what happened in the end and you know what it was.....? A play on Dexter. You get an entire book of over generalizing, but the wrap up and explanation was a couple of pages long. Super disappointing and I doubt I'll continue to read works by this author.

Omg! New favorite author
Jeneva is astoundingly wonderful at writing captivating plot lines that you cannot guess. This is her second book I have read and to the last sentence kept me guessing. Normally I can pinpoint exactly where books are going, who the killer is etc. with Jeneva's books this is not the case and I am obsessed. 10/10 would recommend, can't wait for her new book on the 29th!!

Really enjoyed this one. Great twist at the end, almost comical. Cannot wait to read more of the authors books

Un peu trop gros
Un bon livre pour les vacances mais de grosses ficelles de scénario, pas très subtil. On voit venir la fin à des kilomètres.
