I love manuka honey but it is too expensive. Will have to get some when there is special sales.

Great product when under the weather!
Fantastic stuff! I know, it's insanely expensive to get the higher UMF and MGO ratings, but this stuff is fantastic if you feel a cold or flu coming on. Just take a spoonful in the morning and evening and it (in my opinion) lessens the severity and duration of these illnesses. Quite a helpful tool for the toolkit when feeling ill.The taste and texture are great, and the packaging of both the screw top and the easy pour bottles are both very nice and usable. I don't have any complaints other than the premium price, but I definitely understand why it's this way after doing some research on how this is acquired.

Legitimately un-BEE-lievable Product
This isn't your normal honey. And if you expect this to taste anything like your normal honey, you will hate it. In fact, this isn't expensive honey -- it is really an entirely different product.Manuka honey is really something special. It comes from a certain flower that has a limited range and bloom time in parts of the world, predominantly New Zealand. To get there, folks need to use a boat, long hike/trek, or actually like this product use a helicopter. Yes, a helicopter! This is what makes Manuka expensive, but also fantastic. But, again, this is not a sweet honey like you imagine. The purity is based off a number of factors, and I can't pretend to know them well. I do know that it is partially based off of how the honey is made by the bees. For example, higher purity Manuka honey comes from bees that are almost exclusively tapping into ONLY these flowers. Whereas lower purities mix with other types of flowers. There are many other factors also as to the purity of the honey, but I'm not an expert, and there's plenty of research online -- including this seller's website which is FANTASTIC. You are getting more than a product, but an education.Manuka sellers from NZ also need to get a certification from the government. This seller has one, and I looked it up, and it is there on the government website and appears to match with this seller. From my examination, it appears to be legitimate and accurate. As for the honey itself, it's thick and creamy. Not like ordinary honey at all. It is also very vicious and if you decide to put in tea, you need to stir and stir and stir. But, in my honest opinion, this is not honey good for tea. Or baking. Or any of that. You should consume it directly and, once opened, it is recommended that you refrigerate it. Check my photo, when cold, it almost forms like a caramel consistency due to the cold and the thickness. However, I also recommend this because of the taste. It isn't normal honey. It does have a little, medicinal taste? That's because part of the rating is based on antibiotic principles, almost like a peroxide-like behavior to this honey. At a certain rating (I believe that is 800+), you can use it as wound care. Being about 1130+, it appears that this would fall in that range. To that point, the smell of it actually is a little peroxide and the taste might even resemble that. For some people that might be off-putting, and many people I have shared this honey with hated it for that reason. However, those who truly understand what Manuka honey is, have loved this and ordered from this seller specifically. It's just a very quality Manuka and, if you like the flavor/tolerate it, there is a myriad of research that demonstrates how wonderful this product may.Overall, the buzz around this product is that it is unBEElievable. Please don't waste this in baking or even in tea. Taste it straight from a spoon, cold is best, and if you don't like the taste but want the purported benefits (which I subscribe to), you can do a half teaspoon in the AM and another in the PM to split up the taste. But I love to start my day with a big teaspoon (maybe a little more...). My wife will have it here and there, but my toddler (who is old enough to have honey) doesn't like the flavor. And that's okay, this is a special, special product anyway.I just want to note that the price for this product appears to be in-line with what other Manuka sellers have, except this seller has coupons to try it the first time. There may be other benefits available like subscribe and saves, bundles, or holiday deals. I would say that everyone in their lifetime should try Manuka honey, it is very unique for taste and special, and it lines up right with having a rare caviar, cheese, or wine. Give it a try once, you might love it, but at least you can say you had it! We love this one and are fortunate to have had the opportunity to taste and review it, and we will be coming back for more because it has already become a part of our morning routine.

Diff batch
So the numbers on the front of ghis is higher than the smaller container, not sure why, but this batch was lighter and tasted less like the rich manuka and more honey like. Still, nice quality and they do their testing.
