2013 release from the California Hard Rock band. Stairway To Hell is the band's first studio recording since 1996's Motel California and the first since their 2010 reunion.

"We all know why we're here..."
Ugly Kid Joe was a band that, once they broke up, I never expected to see 'em come back. But, they are back and, judging from the contents of this EP, are in fine form! I put off getting this EP until the physical copy was available. I don't regret it, but I do wish I'd listened to some of it beyond the "Devil's Paradise" music video. Cuz, this thing is a beast! The six new songs are all quality. If I hadn't already seen the video for "Devil's Paradise", I would almost swear that someone had somehow resurrected the spirit of Bon Scott!! No joke, it's kinda eerie! What follows are some of the best rock songs I've heard in a while. Much better than what gets played on most rock radio these days! It's very easy to play this disc all the way through and then play it again! The six new jams + two acoustic renditions of past greats + an unlisted acoustic version of one of the new songs, is what this EP is made of.If you're into UKJ, or ever were, you'd be doing yourself a solid by checking this new stuff out, no lie. Personally, I always felt that UKJ got a little bit of a raw deal during the 90's. What with being considered a one hit wonder, even though they had other hits. I guess those don't count if they aren't quite as big as your biggest hit?? And then being unfairly lumped into the whole hair band thing... UKJ hardly looked the part! Plus, their band name was making fun of an actual hair band, Pretty Boy Floyd. Anyway, check this out or don't. It's your call!!! \m/

A Great Return For A Very Underrated Band
Ugly Kid Joe was a band that got the short end of the stick as far as I am concerned. These guys are amazing musicians, they wrote and continue to write catchy songs, with incredible riffs, and powerhouse vocals. They definitely don't take themselves too seriously, and they have attitude for miles! The one downside to Stairway To Hell is that it is so short! There are some great songs here, and the US CD release has 3 bonus acoustic tracks on it, well worth the purchase. "No One Survives" is an epic track, and shines on this EP, but if you are a fan of attitude filled rock, then every track on this CD will satisfy you.

I honestly wasn't suspecting much from this CD. Just grew up with these guys and loved a couple of there songs but wasnt a huge fan. But I was totally blown away at the songs written and I can't stop listening to this CD. I loved it so much I ordered another copy for my brother for X-mas.

Awesome
I liked Ugly Kid Joe back in the day, but this CD is AWESOME. At one time, I had listened to it so long consecutively that I put it away in a drawer just to give it a break. This band is so versatile with an edgy sound. It's by go to CD. I recommend it to all rockers and anyone enjoying great music.

Ugly kid GOLD
Great to hear the guys together again. Classic UKJ vibe and some funky tunes. Acoustic songs are great and the traditional rock tunes kick some serious arse. Now you guys gotta stay together and keep writing. Oh, and come to Australia for another concert! Definitely worth the money and worth the idiotically long time it took for amazon to send it to me.

Ugly Kid Joe - Stairway to Hell
I liked the music. It had catchy tunes on it, with several acoustic versions of some of their previous songs.

Glad they are back!!
Big fan of the band back in the day. America's Least Wanted is still one of my favorite CD's. I'm Alright is the standout track on this one. Rocks from start to finish. Love Ain't True is alright. Not a big fan of the vocals. The rest of the CD keeps the UKJ spirit alive!!

Very Underrated.
Ugly Kid Joe has been around a long time and they just don't seem to be heard as much as they should. This cd is Awesome the vocals the music everything. I just don't understand why they don't get more radio play. UKJ Keep Em Comin'!!! AAA+++

Underrated and underhyped band
Underrated band with some excellent musicians. Pity this band is only known for the silly "I hate everything about you" and a good cover of "Cat's in the cradle".
