The Uncanny X-Men Omnibus Vol. 2 [New Printing 3]

I had initially given the seller a harsh review , but a politician once said " that when the situation , changes I chance my mind to meet the new facts". Paper cavalier have been absolutely brilliant. I received a direct call from the company owner to explain the issues that had originally occurred with the delivery of this book and gave assurances that everything was being done to ensure delivery. He was true to his word. Delivery was the next day. The product was in excellent condition and I will most definitely be using Paper cavalier in the future. I more than recommend them for customer service and book quality. 10 out of 10.

If you like xmen and want to read the Dark Phoenix Sage and Days of Future Past then I highly recommend

When you read this volume, you understand how the X-men became so popular. Iconic and timeless stories

This is great from a nostalgic point of view. It's great seeing how the team came together and the to read so many seminal stories. Chris is a great writer, but his writing in the 70s was 'of a time'. Some people may find it a little hokey, but I think that was the Marvel style in the 60s & 70s. As the decades progressed, the style became slicker, and by the time the 90s arrived (I'm thinking of the Age of Apocalypse), the writing was sublime.So, if you're wondering whether to purchase this or not, just realize that the writing and artwork, while good, are not going to be on par with Marvel's X-Men of the 90s & 2,000s, when digital artwork helped artists take their work to a whole new level. Having said that, Marvel's artwork seems to have gone considerable downhill in the last 5-6 years, so if you've only starting reading comics this decade, you'll find the artwork significantly better than any of Marvel's recent offerings!

Worth every penny

I read these comics when I was a boy and must say that seeing them in this format seems even better than I remember. Chris Claremont is hands down one of the best writers ever in the industry on par with Jack Kirby for the most part. This picks up right after Vol 1 and contains what is in my opinion the continuation of the greatest run for any comic series based on the Xmen.
