These took a lot of trial and error, though through no fault if the product, just read reviews and online videos to figure it out.

Works great. Install was a little trial and error due to the first time doing a hidden door. Follow instructions carefully and take your time.

The product is of good quality and worked very well for me, but the video is not in line with the operation of the product. They should improve it. The pivot hinge cannot be in the center of the door, it will not pivot correctly, but it is still a good product.

This system was easy to install for my speak easy bookshelf doors.

These heavy duty hinges worked great but no thanks to the meager instructions. Still took some Googling how to install and how close to the edges for ideal mounting. Using a nail and a bunch of holes through a test board worked best to figure out swing path and max width of my shelf. For me, I chose to build 79.75" tall x 23.75" wide x 7.75" deep with 3/4" cabinet grade plywood. Once I got the frame loosely put together with top and bottom boards routed to mount these hinges flush and tested opening and closing before proceeding with build. Interesting note is that the cabinet doors are thin boards with peel and stick wallpaper so we can swap out the color and look as interests change (or season). The doors themselves are a giant pain though as clearing the murphy door trim means it needs to be flush. Going with sliding doors would have been far easier or finding hinges that could have cleared the 1" trim for those trying to build this. this was my first but prob not my last as it was challenging but "fun".

If you’d like to struggle, sweat, and question your sanity then by all means buy this product. PS the “lock” for the secret door isn’t designed to work the way they alleged it should. I had to get a regular old gate lock to make it work. Bad.

Hinge works properly and smooth but there is a flaw that the manufacturer needs to address and that is the little screw that runs the hinge up and down needless to have a stop which DOESN'T allow the screw to go in to deep allowing it to come out of the threads which happened in my case and was a nightmare to get back into the threads. They could simple damage the last thread on the screw itself which will work as a stop. Simple enough fix that can be done on there end to better this product

These hinges are brilliant , they work perfectly and are extremely smooth ! I have used tgem for a hidden doorway and they are perfect ! I would definitely highly recommend this product and I will be purchasing more of these and they do them in different strengths to hold bigger weights.

This hinge works awesome! Holds a lot of weight and good quality! Instructions are not the best. Watch a few youtube videos before you try installing this and you should be okay.

Very minimal instructions but I guess there wasn't really much you need to know. I've had my bookcase installed for a month so far. I don't know anything about furniture building or whatnot and just a general wingit type and I was surprised this worked so well. My bookcase opens outwards which did make the workings of the bookcase a little harder but not down to the product itself. The lock works wonderfully. I did end up buying new wire as I mangled the old one during fitting. I also bought some additional pulleys for the lock and a small castor wheel to take the weight of the bookcase so it moved a bit more smoothly (I'm guessing because I didn't properly align the hinge). Overall I'm really pleased and now want hidden bookcase doors everywhere!

First off these are fab and so far working well. Minor annoyance was the lack of detail on the instructions and no supporting videos for this particular product. That said it’s not rocket science, but when you are a part time diy’er I’m probably looking for detail instructions to lessen anxiety. Couple of minor bumps but got there in the end and would be a breeze if I needed to do again. You may want to use different screws, I found them a bit frustrating but of course may have been me!!
