Words well but not as great of quality as the other trimmers and clippers my husband uses as a barber. I’d say it’d be good for people to use at home, but not everyday.

shave is a breeze with this trimmers. got them with the gold blades.

I am not a pro barber, but I have been cutting my own hair for over a decade. I've gone through many trimmers and clippers. These trimmers impressed. They seem to punch above their weight class. I was genuinely surprised by the lines that they make. They are sharp but not in a way that irritates my skin even when I set them pretty close. Your mileage may vary but I am pleased with this purchase.

The media could not be loaded. Out the box it’s decently gapped, not exactly 0 but close enough. In my video I zero gapped mine as close as I can to keep this for specific tasks. This trimmer hitssss.Very nice blade, sharp, stayed cool for me thru a few cuts. Some other blades we all know wouldn’t stay cool thru a quick lining even.The size and feel of this is awesome for me. I’ve been using my babyliss trimmer and it doesn’t even compare as far as comfort to use. You can see in my video a front indentation for your finger as well as a small hump on the back for your finger. Super comfortable. The steel body also hasn’t gotten slippery for me at all, and with the weight again feels really nice in the hand.I attempted to show the sound level difference in my video. I used a decimal meter in a different video on YT this one comes in around 75, when my gold trimmer is at around 90. Hugeeee difference not only if you’re in a shop with plenty noise but for your clients when the trimmer is right near their ear. This is probably the biggest difference and plus for me, very strong but quiet motor.Coming with a charging stand for at around 110$ at time of my review is an absolute steal in my opinion. There are many trimmers and prices either more or less but for the quality I don’t mind the price at all. The only issue with the base I have is in my video also. It has a small balance issue if you bump it, it’s kind of unstable when pushed back but not the end of the world. The trimmer goes in and out super easy and accurate. No fussing around wasting time.Battery life has been good for me so far. Time will tell how long this trimmer holds up thru continuous use. For now I stand by my rating of 5/5 whole heartedly. I do not use any bias in my reviews and give 100% honest feedback in anything I review.Hope this helps.

Great trimmer

I did a bunch of research on the gold x trimmers did the prepping and even zero gapped it and it wasn’t cutting sharp at all, it would pull my hair and wouldn’t cut smoothly like if the blades were dull. Super disappointing.

I have been using Philips trimmers as general purpose trimmers for a long time and compared to those I really like this one. The feel is premium with all metal body and the blade seems to be superior. It is wide can be adjusted and works much better for jaw lines and necklines. It does trim better than my Philips and unliked for Philips I don't have to go to one area multiple times. Just FYI this is a bare trimmer meant to trim hair completely. It doesn't come with blade guards to trim different length. I believe the same company makes clippers that have a lever to lock in blade guards for different lengths.I have been primarily using this to adjust my beard and avoid shaving everyday and it has been working great so far. I have been able to shape my beard better and it's pretty close to a shave as well. Definitely a great quality trimmer that works better than residential grade Philips trimmer!
