To me, it feels very ordinary cue stick that way, except for carbon fiber shaft. Don't get your hopes high on this "carbon fiber" cue stick. This is not like the pros use.The shaft is made of carbon fiber and is very light. The forearm, wrap and butt are made up of wood, in nice wrapping. This is 1/2 stick, and since I have been playing with 3/4 stick from Omin, this one's weight balance feels off too me - more towards center of the stick than the butt side. Omin's wooden cue stick feels lighter than this. I think I know why...A wooden cue stick is thicker than this "carbon fiber" cue stick, even if you compare of same weight. Thus, this sick is denser and leaner and feels weird, like you are holding a thin, dense metal rod. I am not in favor of so thin cue sticks.BTW, the shaft requires proper care as it is scratch prone, even inside a cue cover.
