Got two sets of these now. Brilliant colours and well made. Definitely water proof. The leads are a bit short to be honest so I had to extend them bit apart from that, all good. App works well and you get bonus points the more Govee stuff you buy.

Love these so much we have 2 sets to go around the garden, they have amazing effects and love the fact that you can dim them or brighten them up with loads of different colours

OR if like me and you want to be more creative, you could use these on a wall or fencing, but you will have to buy some good quality velcro with waterproof sticky pads to do this with, but I don't recommend placing this in hedging of any kind due to the possibility of these short-circuiting that could cause a fire.You could also use these inside, for stair or skirting board lighting or even as ceiling lights or lighting in the bathroom/kitchen, because as already stated you can use these anywhere especially since they are waterproof.Difference between normal RGB lighting and these RGBIC/W lighting ??The main difference is that the RGBIC/W Lighting offers far more features than RGB, hence why these RGBIC/W lights are more expensiveThe only thing that you can NOT do with RGBIC/W Lighting is to cut them to make the length smaller, due to each led being controlled by an individual IC processing Chip ..... with normal RGB lighting cutting to a smaller size is possibleNow onto the disadvantages that I've found with these lights.Firstly I would advise having waterproof outside electric sockets fitted, as this will make things a lot more safer especially if you buy the outdoor sockets that have their own trip switches built into them.Secondly, the lights do stick quite high up in the ground, and this could cause them to be somewhat of a tripping hazard.Thirdly, the cable in between each light, I would advise that this is either put underground or to buy a cable cover, to avoid the cable being tripped on.Fourthly, if any of the lights do get damaged (cracked by being trodden on) then it's advisable to either repair or to stop using them .So as you can probably already tell that I do highly recommend these, despite a few minor hiccups that these lights present, and On that note I'm more than happy to give these a bright 4 out of 5 stars, with 1 star being knocked off, due to them being quite expensive

You can’t go wrong with Govee bought 2 sets as the larger was sold out very easy to place around the border and path mine are set on gravel so I was able to bury the cables I have them set to 75% which is bright enough to light your path say,The app is very simple to follow and there are loads of colours to chose from I love the Xmas colours the main reason why I bought themMost important they cost very little to run we have 12 Govee lights dotted around the house and hasn’t made much difference to my bill at all.they may be a tad expensive but you get what you pay forAny problems with your lights email Govee and they get back to you the same day and are always helpfulGreat service

So impressed by these smart lights. Download the govee home app and lights connect really easily. Lights can be controlled as a group or even individually coloured. I've got these around my hot tub and they are so atmospheric. Fully waterproof from controller box. I had to buy a separate dry box as the plug wouldn't fit into my outside socket so ran an extension.

In my experience Govee is a pretty trusted brand when it comes to relatively cheap smart lights. They always deliver in quality and I've never personally had a problem with them. These seem to be newly released lights that they make and I have to say, they look amazing in the garden. The lights being so small lets them blend into the ground easily and you end up with your garden looking as good as the photos.The smart integration also works flawlessly with Alexa. I haven't tested it with Google Home but I have no reason to suspect there would be any issues there. Their app is also very useful and has a relatively nice UI compared to some other apps I have tried to navigate. On the whole these seem great so far!

Habe viele viele Hue Leuchten, aber für den Aussenbereich musste ich umsteigen. Und...ich bin einfach begeistert! Qualität super, App genial, Empfang sogar bei Empfängern, die unter die Erde in einer "Kapsel" gelegt wurden. Perfekt!

Der Versand klappte wie immer einwandfrei. Die Leuchten habe ich im Kies eingebettet und die Leuchtkraft ist wirklich super. Auch das Einpflegen in die App klappte reibungslos, wie man es von Govee gewohnt ist.Ich spreche eine klare Kaufempfehlung aus.

Machen ein schönes Licht und die Einstellungen in der App machen auch Spass , ist nur etwas unübersichtlich die App. Sonst top

Für 85€ sind die Teile super. Habe den Controller durch einen ESP32 ersetzt und mit den WS281x Settings konfiguriert. Zu beachten ist, daß in WLED zwei Segmente konfiguriert werden müssen, da eine Lampe eine RGB LED und eine Weisse LED hat. Insgesamt 30 LEDs also.
