OGX Impecca-Blonde Purple Toning Drops for Blonde Enhance, 4 fl oz

Works great when added to my hair smoothing lotion to tone down the yellows in my hair while I'm trying to transition to natural gray

So tired of Wella T18 "toner" which is actually a permanent hair dye used as directed with 20 volume developer, it's quite damaging. I bleached my money pieces and underlayers, and it's damaged to the the point it doesn't really hold toner, so I was using this ammonia-packed toner every 2 weeks which was just making my hair worse. Brad Mondo's toning mousse is amazing, but it's $30 and doesn't travel well, so I am trying new ways to keep my blonde ashy. These drops work great in my Olaplex 3, which I have never used as a "10 minute pre-shampoo" because I can't bear to wash it out that quickly. Money literally down the drain! I simply towel dry my hair, put my purple Olaplex on my blonde parts (but not the purple product Olaplex sells, it's too light for me and another added expense) and let my hair air dry. The purple drops never even make it in my white shower, and by the time it touches my hands, it's already diluted to the point that it doesn't stain at all. I have never noticed it rubbing off but I also sleep with a silk bonnet. Don't let these people complaining that it's "messy," or that it smells "weird" turn you away from this healthier, less expensive product. Those are the people who are just not willing or able to be creative or who are used to Aveda-like products that smell like heaven. I didn't even notice a smell because the amount used is so minuscule. Throw some in your spray-on conditioner, hair gel, etc. and it will only smell like your favorite products, the ones you are already using!

These drops are great because you can add them to any hair products you desire. I've been turning grey slowly and have noticed that the ends of my hair are getting a little yellow due to sun exposure (I have black hair and the ends of the black also get a little sun bleached in CA). I've been adding this to my conditioner (I only co-wash my curly hair, hardly ever shampoo) as well as my leave-in conditioner. It's easy to use and you can add as much as you want to anything. I've even added it to my bottle of conditioner so that I don't have to mix it each time. I've noticed that it toned down the brassiness of my hair but notice it more on the black than on the grey. The grey has improved, but not back into the silver that's closer to the new growth grey color. The scent is pleasant, though can get strong if you use a lot, so I would prefer that the scent be toned down or not be present at all. I've been using it for a couple months and am fairly happy with it. I'll continue to use it as hopefully it will prevent the discoloration better than it does to fix already yellowing grey.

This is my favorite toning product for blonde hair. I’ve used a lot of purple based shampoos and really prefer this. I like how you can just add a very small amount more often, so that you end up with a more even result over time. I find that other purple shampoos are too concentrated with the color so that I end up with an uneven result and a mess in my shower. I have added it to my shampoo, conditioner, and styling products and it works well with all of them. Doesn’t stain anything either.

I use this every other wash n it really keeps the brassiness down on my roots. I do my own hair so I definitely need & use it alot! I mix it with my conditioner & use the proper amt needed. Highly recommend!

I had a very love hate relationship with this product. I finished it already so can honestly review this. I did what some others on here did and just poured a bunch of it dry in my hair after rinsing my hair with water and put it on and let it sit in the shower while I shaved and then rinsed it out. It did work. I repeat, it DOES work, especially if you don’t mix it with anything and just put it straight on your wet hair and let it sit for maybe 10 min. It will tone it. Now timing is everything. Sometimes I would do it and then get out and my family would say why is your hair purple or blue? Basically I did it too long or not long enough. I don’t even know. It would be like a weird shade at first and embarrassing. However…. Once I washed it once or twice after that, it would be more normal and not as purple and more of the color I was looking for. Just the non brassy blonde. I have light blonde dyed hair I failed to mention. Sometimes I am just trying to lessen the goldenneas and get it to be more ashy and this does work but it’s very trial and error in my opinion. Also. It is VERYYYYYY messy!!!!!!!!!! That is my number one complaint!!!! So I would not buy this again because of that. Other than that I love this brand and love what they stand for and all that but it’s just soooo messy that I just can’t do it again.

This stuff should probably go on auto ship for me. It works like a charm (just have to leave it on long enough). I mix it into my conditioner. Yes it will leave stains on your hands if you just squirt it right on them!! It’s a dye you silly goose! I just slather my conditioner on my palms then add the purple magic and have no issues. I think this stuff is much more cost effective that buying purple conditioner and has the perk of getting to use whatever product you already have. Also it smells great. 10/10!

I absolutely love these toning drops. You can add them to whatever to help tone your hair. My hair is extremely stubborn so normal purple shampoos and conditioners don't do much. This is perfect to make them stronger.

No matter what shade of light brown or blonde my hair has been, this product has never failed me whenever I’ve gone lighter! It’s also nice to have the option of not putting it into my shampoo sometimes, putting more when my hair is brassier and less when I’m maintaining a lighter blonde color, etc. I recommend this product to anyone trying to get an ashier tone in their blonde or brown hair It’s been a life saver, honestly.
