Worked great

Cleaned sight with alcohol swab and sanded with 600 grit. Did at least 4 coats. No glow and paint (thankfully) peals off easily after 24 hours dry time. Bought a tube of white acrylic at dollar store ...way better and stays on.

Not worth the money , i cleaned the sight with alcool and tried to paint it did not work. Tried sanding it then clean with alcool still would not stick . Don't waste your money .

The paint doesn't show up very well and is a pain to apply

I thought this might be a easier, cheaper solution to replacing my 1968 Colt Cup front sight with a fiber optic front sight which is a more expensive and labor intensive procedure, in particular as the front sight on My version of the Gold Cup is staked in rather than a front dovetail.I cleaned the entire front sight and front of the slide with gun scrubber followed by cleaning with denatured alcohol, and finally lacquer thinner. I wanted this to stay put!!I chose the orange color, opened the bottle and guess what, the bottle is only half full!!, Ok so that is still way more than I need to paint the back of the front sight blade.Taped the sides and top of the sight, Painted it , waited 24 hours then applied a second cote to make it brighter. waited another 24 hours and pealed off one side of the tape, behold, the entire paint application came off with the tape leavening the sight once again "squeaky clean".If all you want is a painted front sight, then you may be able to accomplish that, I was not.IMHO this product is over priced, and I'm not sure it is even real paint.I have painted various parts of firearms before and never had anything fail so badly in the adhesion area.
