These are really great step rails for your Gen 4, 2024 or 2025 Toyota Tacoma TR5 double cab truck. I am 78 and the installation was reasonably easy, about 2 hours or so. The directions are ok but let me share a couple of additional hints that might help you during your install. When you install the 4 metal brackets on each side there is one in each set that is different from the other 3, that one goes in the front of your truck. Also, when installing these brackets just hand tighten them very loosely to the truck frame as the brackets need to be able to wiggle a bit in order for the step rails to fit onto them correctly. Then of course after you have attached and tightened the step rails to the other end of the brackets then go back and tighten the brackets securely to the frame. Also, before you attach the step rails to the brackets, fasten the plastic end caps to the rails first as that will make it much easier than screwing them on after the rails are attached to your truck. Also, when tightening the screws onto the end caps, "DON'T" use a power drill or impact drill or you might break off the screw supports. (Ask me how I know.) Other than that, the directions were fairly straight forward, I definitely recommend these steps, they are very sturdy and they look great.

Overall – good engineering, well made. They installed flawlessly on my 2024 Tacoma SR5 double cab. I will update this review if any issue comes up.Some tips/observations from the install:- My Tacoma had bolts in the holes the braces bolt into. They had to be removed first. I understand some vehicles have rubber plugs instead of bolts to protect the threads. They would also have to be removed.- Instructions say you need 10mm, 13mm, 14mm, 16mm, and 17mm sockets for installation. I only needed a 12mm to remove the Tacoma bolts in the holes and a 13mm to install all the step bolts.- Instructions were unclear about the different brackets. There are only two types: the front bracket is different from the other three on that side (whether driver or passenger). This makes installation easier.- Instructions say there are 32 bolts. When you open the bag of hardware, there are only 16 bolts. Don’t freak out – the other 16 are screwed into the bottom of the steps. They actually provide extra hardware just in case.- Instructions say to mount all brackets on driver side then passenger side before you mount the steps. I mounted the steps after mounting the driver brackets. I felt it made the passenger side go quicker as I knew the whole procedure.- After mounting the brackets, unwrap the steps and end caps. Mount the end caps on the step from the bottom side on your workbench – it’s much easier than after mounting the step to the brackets.- Look at the separate instructions for mounting the end caps – they show which side of the step goes toward the cab body,They suggest wearing gloves, especially handling the steps because of sharp edges. Smart idea - and they even provide a pair of gloves.

Installation was very straightforward and alignment is good. Took me about an hour with simple tools. Enough spare fasteners are enclosed as well. The board itself is sturdy.I had an issue with one of the cover that’s attached to the end of each board (could be my miss install) but the customer service quickly sent me spare sets. Very reliable product and service!

Happy overall, just wish there was not so much of a gap between these and the body. For example, the shape could have been modified to provide a bit of gap fill on the inside side. But good overall, and fairly easy to install.
