I have found it a bit hard to work with. I would suggest beating it before using.Also consistency is very buttery and I had to throw away my sponge.

This is ok but not fantastic. Yes you get a bigger tub of frosting but I felt you better use it all at once and it was not near as tasty as even the store bought frosting and it was pricey.

Colour Mill Gloss Frost White Buttercream, 1 Liter (2.2LBS). This buttercream is extremely delicious. It's also a great value due to the bulk size of 2.2 lb and the quality of ingredients used to create the tasty buttercream. The texture is just perfect enough to decorate my cupcakes with ease. The color is a soft white color with a thick spreadable consistency. The consistency holds its shape and can't easily be placed inside a piping bag for designing different patterns.

Like I said, this is better than the small cans of "buttercream" found in grocery stores. It doesn't feel like vegetable shortening which sometimes happens otherwise. This product takes oil food coloring very well. I would try flavoring oil to improve the taste. I do find beating it improves the texture somewhat. It pipes well using decorative tips. To be safe I'm going to store leftovers in ziplock bags with the air squeezed out and in the freezer. This would be perfect where taste is not paramount but a little extra stability would be appreciated. As long as you're not expecting a packaged product that tastes as good as something you make yourself, you'll be fine.

I was unable to work with it . It was very dense . Was unable to spread it with spatula in the cake . Disappointed. It spoiled the cake.

This is great if you're in a bind and for some reason can't get your stuff homemade --- I highly recommend whipping it up and adding a FLAVORING to this, It is very plain and has a slightly waxy mouthfeel which will be improved by whipping and introducing air into the buttercream. Happy baking!

This comes in a quite large tub that is 4.4 pounds but I had a few things coming up that I needed frosting for so I thought this would be perfect. I do like that the color is white because I can add coloring to it and adjust the color to whatever I want.Once I started to use this buttercream I quickly learned that it's not what I'm used to. This buttercream is very oily. I saw someone else say oily like vegetable shortening and this is exactly what it seems like to me. This oily feeling also comes through in the taste as it has that oily slick feeling on the hands and inside the mouth.Unfortunately, this buttercream doesn't have the best flavor either. The flavor is fine but it's not like any buttercream I've had before and it's quite bland - there's just not much flavor there to begin with.Overall, this buttercream is lacking from what I'm used to when it comes to buttercream frosting in general. The oily and bland flavor is a let down and quite unfortunate. I have been using it around the house and for my immediate family but when it comes to using it on a cake or something for someone else, I'll be using something else.

This was great for cupcakes. I used it for birthday cupcakes and it was absolutely delicious. So easy to use. I left it out to stay soft and it really was great. I will definitely be buying this again. I also colored the icing and achieved the colors I wanted with ease. Good value.
