My dachshund almost choked to death before I could get the product disengaged from her teeth and throat. The texture of the wrap is like thin taffy and is inflexible and sticks to the teeth. My dog chewed and chewed but couldn’t break it up enough to swallow it. I will be returning it ASAP.

I’ve used a few different products for the same purpose- medication subterfuge. Most products have holes you stick the pill in and squeeze closed which worked with some success. But having clever dogs, they would often manage to eat around the product and spit out the pill with some glee. Those products also tend to break up in the bag they’re packaged in, and I’d wind up trying to piece them together. My dogs also had a preference to flavors and didn’t care for the chicken products. Processed cheese works moderately well, but dairy doesn’t agree with my dogs intestinal track and liverwurst is just plain messy(although this works best as the smell covers all trace of the pill until it’s too late). This product comes in three separate strips much like fruit jerky. You cut the strip to pill size and wrap the pill tightly into the strip. It doesn’t fall apart and they seems to like the flavor.

We have a mid sized poodle and she absolutely did not like the texture of the roll up. We put the pill in and would find the pill easily removed from the roll up no matter how tight we made it. I think this product is better for larger dogs who just gulp and not chew. Not advisable for smaller dogs who have to chew.

Sometimes she eats it, other times no go. They are very good at wrapping up and really concealing pills.

I initially thought I ordered pill holders for dogs, but I was incorrect, this is best described as a fruit roll up to hide pills for a dog. Initially I was frustrated that I had ordered the wrong item, but when I tried this I was so pleased as this works amazing. My dog was learning how to spit out one of her pills when mixed with food. This roll up is super sticky and the pills adhere well to the substance. Plop the pills on, tear it off, and since it's sticky thr pills don't come out and they go down. Be careful not to get any on fur as it is pretty adherent.

First off the price was what caught me as opposed to pill pockets and I thought I would be able to stretch it out but that isn't the case. You have to use quite a big piece to cover large pills. It doesn't rip nice and easy either so cutting works best. As for the taste my food driven girl loved it but it was too hard and chewy for my older girl. I wouldn't buy them again.
