My second purchase of this product. This vitamin C is the stable form which does not oxidize. No greasy feel, no fragrance. Good stuff at a great price.

I think there are not many Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate (THDC) based serums in the market. So, when I came across the product, I thought I had purchased the perfect Vitamin C serum for me—free from parabens, silicones, animal testing, and artificial colors. However, I should have examined the ingredients more closely and checked a reviewer’s picture that revealed the presence of rosemary extract and anise fruit extract. The tingling sensation, redness and irritation I experienced upon application of the serum may be due these ingredients. I will not return the serum but will use it sparingly. Because I won’t be using it generously 2-3 times a day as the company suggests, I won’t be able to fully assess its effectiveness.Everyone's skin is different, you might want to give the serum a chance if the natural extracts (mentioned above) don’t bother your skin. As for me, their presence makes repurchasing unlikely. Bigger bang for your $ - make yor own facial cream. Dermatologist recommended Vanicream for the base then simply add what your face responds to. I use vani, organic rose hip oil, vitamin E oil, vit C, hyaluronic acid, and small amount of retinA. Adjust to your skin and save yourself $ while controlling the ingredients. I purchased assorted sizes amber jars on Amazon. Not for anyone who likes to purchase and keep trying new face regimens - great for those who know their skin and like to adjust facial creams as needed😊

I purchased this because Amazon stopped selling my usual vitamin C serum that contains the best form of shelf stable C ~ tetrahexadecal and I noticed that this product uses it. However, the product arrived in a cheap plastic bottle which no doubt oozed plenty of BPA’s into the serum.I poured it all into my Grown Alchemist body lotion simply because I hated to toss it !

Hasn't caused me any irritation or breakouts. Sinks in pretty well and does not pill up when used with the rest of my products. I do think it's helping with fading some dark spots I have but it's been a very slow process.

This Vit C serum by Proot rocks! It's one of the best serums I have tried and as a skin care afficianado I have tried many different products....some of them lived up to the billing and some fell short. This one is by far a stand out of exceptional quality and definitely delivers resultsI won't go into the science of the list of ingredients as other reviewers have already thoughtfully and Intelligently covered that.I will say that this is a beautiful mid weight serum somewhat gel like in consistency that slips on my skin like glass. Two or three drops covered my whole face. It's fragrance free, which I always prefer, and it didn't cause any irritation to my dry sensitive skin. It leaves my skin feeling and looking luminous, glowy, soft, and radiant. This is an absolutely beautiful serum that gives really nice results on my skin and I would recommend it without hesitation. It comes in a plastic bottle (tho I prefer glass) that is darkly colored to protect the contents of the ingredients from being exposed to sunlight and prevent oxidation, etc. This one is a win for meWho knew such an unassuming little yellow box contained such a power house serum. The only cons for me is that you can't read the directions on the back of the box without super sonic vision or an extremely powerful magnifying glass.Also there is no seal on the inside or outside of the box or bottle and no expiration date that I could find.
