Works well.
It seems to run a little cooler than the OEM thermostat, but the check engine light is now out. I got this because our Jeep threw an engine code that was likely the thermostat sticking open. This thermostat fixed the engine code. It does seem to run between 185 & 195 F, As I recall this is cooler than the original when it was working.

Fixed Vacuum Cleaner Sound in 2018 Jeep Wrangler JK Unlimited Sahara
The media could not be loaded. Vehicle: 2018 Jeep Wrangler JK Unlimited SaharaThis video is what was fixed by replacing the thermostat with this part, along with replacing the coolant/antifreeze and burping the cooling system. The faulty thermostat that was malfunctioning caused the cooling system to start to overheat, causing the sound in the video.Once the thermostat was replaced with this part, and coolant was added back and the cooling system was burped, it resolved the problem.Being that the part is aluminum seems to be very effective, as the Jeep cooling system rarely goes higher than 200 degrees now, when it consistently was in the 220's with the faulty plastic OEM thermostat.Installation took maybe 1 hour start-to-finish.So far so good after 5 days, and hopefully this review helps others with the same problem!

Lasted Six Months
Worked for six months on my 2012 jeep wrangler, then wouldn’t fully close- created P0128 error code (coolant taking too long to get to temp) which illuminated check engine light.

Way better than OEM
If you know cars, you will see almost all parts now a days are made of plastic. When you add in heat/cold effects that is not a lasting combination as the plastic can brittle and split at source locations like this. Replaced the OEM plastic when I flushed the coolant system and very pleased I did. There was already a fracture starting from the factory over tightening one of the mounting bolts so was just a matter of time. Great quality solid metal disaster part that fit perfectly!
