Makes trying out (or installing) a Bigsby super easy... but it isn't perfect.
I just bought a used Fender Jaguar Blacktop with the adjust-o-matic bridge. It was the perfect candidate to Bigsby-ify, but I really didn't want to drill a bunch of holes into the top of a brand new (to me) guitar. Then I found the V5.Simple to use - just follow the instructions and you have a new bridge in your guitar in less than 5 minutes. The biggest problem I have is that the V5 and the Bigsby don't sit flush. I get it - 100+ lbs. of pressure across all your strings means there is some significant pull, and, without a rear bolt, it's going to be pretty difficult to do that. But I feel that, for an already low-sustain guitar like the Jaguar (primarily due to the shorter scale), there really should be some sort of mechanism to keep it locked down to the body for resonation purposes. Even cranking down on the screws doesn't alleviate anything.I don't really know what the solution would be except for adjusting the angle of the main screw holes. But it looks like Vibramate intended for it to sit flush, otherwise why would they have put little felt pads on the back of the unit to protect the body? It just never touches it.So, sure, it stays in tune and it plays and sounds great, but it still gets some points off for stability because it doesn't *appear* to be stable. I kind of worry that, in the wrong conditions, it's just going to fly off the guitar. And the price? Yeah, it's a huge value for the money if you're unsure vs. drilling holes in the body of your guitar, hating it, and needing a paint job or paint repair. But, for a piece of solid metal? It's way too expensive. This really should go for about $35-40. $52.99 is just too much.

There is simply no reason not to use a Vibramate.
There is simply no reason not to use a Vibramate. It installs in minutes and accepts an authentic Bigsby without any issues. Only use with an actual Bigsby, not a knock off.

so easy and fast to install
I've been wanting a Bigsby on my Epiphone Dot for awhile, but I didn't think I had the skills to start drilling holes and getting the installation right. The Vibramate is the answer. I checked the website to make sure I was buying the right kit for my git, got it from Amazon, and away I went. I probably could've saved a $3-5 dollars by buying on eBay, but I have more confidence in returning items to Amazon if this didn't work out. Know that this kit and the Bigsby V5 come in chrome, gold, nickel, & I think black. I wanted the Vibramate & Bigsby to match my chrome pickups....so chrome.I put the guitar on my work bench, took off the strings, removed the tailpiece, screwed down the Vibramate (using the metric screws as the kit comes with both), and finally I screwed down the Bigsby. All of that took less than 5 minutes. It took longer to restring as there is a little learning curve with the vibrato. I watched a video on YouTube which helped. The Bigsby does not lay flush against this type of guitar, but the website told me about this. It's not noticeable unless you look real close so it doesn't detract from the aesthetics.I notice no change in tone or sustain as I've read elsewhere on the web. It's hard to say about staying in tune, as with new strings there is some stretching that needs to go on. I'll up date later.

Great concept!!
This thing works great!!! There's only one down side I've noticed. If you play with really low action (I'm a medium myself), you're going to add to the action of your guitar with this. Not much but it was enough to throw off one of my friends when they tried my guitar. BUT if you install it and like the sound, you could do like I did, sell it to a friend and do a proper bigsby install. Our vibramate seems to be a Bigsby test bench. you can get an idea of what it will feel and sound like before committing to a proper install.Just note, the bigsby will change the overall tone of your guitar. In my opinion I think it's better BUT tone is subjective. It makes your guitar brigher and more resonant. It also makes your guitar heavier. Not by much but enough that you'll notice.Hope that helps!

It all lines up perfectly
I haven't actually installed it for using, but it'll work nicely.I still have things left to do on this build before I put all the pieces together. It's all from scratch and getting things lined up means having to just trust that one piece is right. But it's going to be ok, I've checked a few different ways and it's as straight as can be.I've had to customized parts differently than you see most of the time, mix and match, but the entire guitar is pretty much that way, it's a strat design body and neck, and everything else is not.

perfect fit
easy to install , wish I could say the same about putting the strings on!just make sure you have a B5, not a B50, they are slightly different in the screw hole fittings.going to get another one for my hollow body.

enables serious modification WITHOUT altering your guitar permanently
I put a B5 Bigsby on my 2016 Gibson Les Paul Jr Single Coil with this product, along with a TonePros roller bridge. The whole process was easy, & took about a half hour, plus another 40 minutes or so to re-setup the guitar. I would NOT have done this without the V5.
