As Advertised - Looks great, more protection for your boat and easy to use.
I first saw this at a boat show I really wanted one. At that time there was a long lead time so I didn't buy one. The old white fenders I have on my boat don't stay in place very well. I was never a boy scout so I am not good at knots which makes adjusting those old fenders painful and slow. The strap system on the Sentrys is very easy to use, just push on the top when you get it in the right position and it locks in place. It seems to lock very well. We did a tie up with a lot of waves/boat movement and we had no problems with them coming loose.I did try to put them on a dock post and it seemed to hold well. Haven't tried it long term, but I like that option. I am excited to see how these hold up in the water and sun long term - the white tube fenders I have had in the past all turn black and gross. These look great so far.I do think these will protect the boat more than any other fender out there. I have them on my Mastercraft Inboard but I am going to buy them for my pontoon as well. I did have an issue a few years ago during a storm where my pontoon was damaged (and one side sank) as the sausage fenders flipped on top of the dock during the waves which allowed the pontoon to hit the dock poles and cut a hole in the pontoon. The shape of the sentrys will help keep them in place and prevent issues like that.

So Easy and stays in Place
Regular bumpers sway back and forth which meant my boat would constantly bang into the poles in my pier. These bumpers stay in place and completely protect my boat!!

Very Nice Product
A bit pricey but I wanted to try something other than the typical barrel bumpers. Have to say they work really well. Away from the dock… we use them to tie our anchor lines off in a cove while out wakeboarding and surfing. Just come back and tie off to the already deployed anchors for a breather. The bright green is highly visible and saves our spot in the cove we are playing in. I would recommend if your willing to pony up. Haven’t had them long so can’t comment on durably.

5 Stars for Fender, lost 1 Star for Price
Short answer, yes this product is awesome! Is it expensive, yes. Does it work better than a round fender, heck yes. I have a 2019 Chaparral 19 H2O and I hate dock rash, this stops it. I WILL be buying 1 more as I only purchased 1 to try it.Long answer, I don't understand the negative reviews. Is this over-priced, probably. And that's not the seller, this is just the going prices for one of these. For a small runabout I feel comfortable leaving the boat tied up and walking away and I dont worry about wakes slamming my boat against the dock. As the other reviews say, this isn't even close to black. It's grey, matches my grey and black gel coat nicely. So now the real question, is it worth $70...up here it's about $100 an inch to repair gel coat. My wife and I both agreed we would try a $70 fender to prevent a scratch in the gel coat. I would highly recommend you consider buying one if you have a nice clean gel coat. Is it worth it for a 20 year old boat that oxidized and has dock rash, probably not. If it still looks new though I would try it. We generally deal with floating docks and my rub rail rarely matches up with the dock. On top of that I don't want my rub rail rubbing against things. I would imagine this would be useless with a vertical pole piers, but then again round fenders are as well (unless they're 2 feet in diameter). Also, because it's flat I don't worry about it rolling around in the boat. I tend to store mine under the engine hatch off to the side of the engine. I have 2 access doors, and it's just a lot easier to get in there rather than the ski locker, which is already full with everything else. With my round fenders I'm always worried it will roll, and the rope will get pulled into the accessory drive belt. This thing, we just toss it in there flat next to the bilge fan hoses, and forget about it until we need it. The cable takes a little getting used to, and I'm worried it will wear out and this will be useless. Only time will tell about the quality.About the seller, it took so long for this to ship Amazon sent me an e-mail saying I hadn't yet been charged because they hadn't received any information from the seller. A few days later I get a notice it shipped, took about 2.5 weeks to come in from date of order. It actually came the last day Amazon said it would for their estimated delivery day. Didn't get burned, but I was beginning to think I was.

so easy
They aren't very cheap, but definitely worth it having 2 of these for your boat. They work so easily and nice protection

Better than expected
I was afraid when I first bought them that they would fall off and float away, but after a couple weeks of use, I no longer worry about it. If you fully secure it in the cleat and push it down, it is definitely not coming off, and if you put your lines through the whole before attaching it to the cleat, even if it fell off, it would be attached to the rope. The only downfall is if you have a bow-rider, the front is usually higher than the level of the dock, so it won’t be protected unless you let it hang really low… which looks stupid. overall it is definitely worth the money, and it works great and doesn’t rub off the clear coat like a regular circular buoy would. I would definitely buy it again.

not as advertised
I had high hopes for this product. First thing I noticed was that in the written card that came attached with the fender, it said "for day use only" on it. What? Where does it say that on the description page on Amazon? Then it also says " keep in shade, protect from UV Rays"....and on the Amazon page it makes a special point to infer that UV rays were not a problem. Most importantly, this product may work for some types of boats, but did not work at all for my boat ( a 16.5 ft fishing boat). It does not stay tightly affixed at all when you pull the draw strings tight. At $64 I thought this was an expensive product, but was willing to give it a try. As it stands, was a total waste of money. I threw the packaging away after I received this product, which I know I shouldn't have done, so now I'm stuck with this $64 dollar hunk of junk. PS...even if this thing worked, it's over priced by at least double.
