Does the job but it's rough
This roll of tape arrived in an easy to recycle plastic bag. On opening the bag it was immediately clear this tape is not very smooth. In fact it's incredibly rough. The glue on the back is also quite thick as well. Plus the color is also nothing like what's shown in the promotional images. So if I was buying this for applying edges to furniture, I'd be mildly disappointed. But that wasn't why I chose this. What I needed is a thin natural wood that I can stick to cosplay props. For example the stock of a replica gun or the handle of something like an axe.Something, which can be applied in multiple layers and sanded down. Something that once stuck, will stay stuck. Either sticking it down either with a hot glue gun, which activates the inbuilt glue.Or by using an iron or a hair dryer. It can take some time for the glue to react, plus some surfaces can't accept heat. So for somethings I have to use Super Glue. Which this tape accepts, just as long as I hold it down for a few seconds longer than usual. Then afterwards I can sand it. Something that's easy to do either by hand or by using a dremel-like multitool. But the best bit is that I can colour it and and artificially age it. Something that I can easily do using inks, paints and washes.Overall ? if you are looking for something to your furniture with this, it doesn't look great. But if you need something for props or hobbies this is absolutely perfect. Especially if you want your project to look ragged and rough.

Proper oak. Not overly smooth.
This veneer is quite well made and looks nice once fitted. The surface isn't smooth, it has grooves in it that follow the grain. Similarly the back is pretty rough, making it easy to glue but thicker than you may want if you're seeing edges.Easy enough to cut and there's lots for the price.
