These are a great smoke alarms. They give you the option of mounting with screws or mounting with magnets. I use the magnets and they are very easy to put up and would be easy to take down to change the battery. They make a very loud screeching sound when you test them. I think that they'll be extremely good smoke detectors and I will definitely buy them again if I ever need some!

Super easy to install. Stick magnet was a lot better than screws. Works well and the red light doesn’t bother me when I’m sleeping.

I own a wired unit and didn’t want to hire an electrician to replace it. Seems silly to spend $100 to replace a $25 unit. I opted for these because they are easy to install, just activate and stick onto the ceiling or wall. No battery changes required either. If anything goes wrong with these , I can replace them myself.

Pleased with the quality of this product. New unit arrived inside a polyethylene foam bag protected by cardboard packaging. Used the mounting bracket to install on hallway ceiling. Bracket has a small hole in it to show the direction that the vent hole pattern will orient to when installed. The mounting hole locations can be marked with a pencil and drywall fasteners installed for appropriate symmetric alignment with the hallway walls. New unit replaces a First Alert PR700 slim photoelectric unit that had failed after 10 years of service and which occasionally issued a false alarm.

My smoke detectors were all over 20 years old & it was time to replace them. Living alone & over 65, it is prudent to be careful on step stools & ladders. Usually when replacing batteries in the old ones, I had to use the top step of the step stool to reach it & get the old battery out. Then getting the new battery in usually required both hands.These new ones are SO much better! A little smaller in diameter, they were a breeze to install! I followed the directions, using alcohol to clean the ceiling & allowing it to dry for 24 hrs & the same for cleaning the metal parts prior to attaching the adhesive pads. I did them 1 at a time, so there were always 3, then 2, then 1 of the old units still working until I got the final one replaced. That provided plenty of time for everything to dry & the adhesive patches to be most effective.They have performed flawlessly since installed. The provided battery in one did need to be replaced & that was when the real joy came. The ceiling on the top floor is low enough I can reach the smoke alarm without a step stool or ladder. I only had to reach up & turn it slightly to remove the magnetic cover, replace the battery & then it just clings when I put it back.Another unit is at the bottom of the basement steps, so no stool or ladder needed there either as I was eye level to it. The other 2 with 8 ft. ceilings did require the step stool, but all I had to do was get each close enough for the magnet to grab it. Those are in the bedroom hallway & kitchen.And on top of that, they are really nice looking!

Everything is fine except for one flaw that is very difficult to look past: the battery that was supposed to last for 10 years only lasted for 6 months. So right now I'm in an exercise of trying to figure out how to open up the device so that I can change out the bad battery. Thus, in my opinion, it only deserves one star.‐---------------------Revision July 31, 2025It appears that Sitterwell read my review above and then they reached out to me to give me back my money.
