Super handy tool!
We have had this auger for a couple of years and have found it excellent to use. On soft ground it digs holes very quickly and easily. When we come across large stones or rocks, it stops without trying to rip your arms off and the reverse button function has come in handy on a number of occasions to aid removing it from the ground.

Excellent customer service
I have awarded five stars in recognition of excellent customer service, even though there were problems with the electric auger. The drive shaft was wobbly, causing the augur to shudder when switched on. Concerned that this would damage the mechanism, I first e-mailed [email protected], but received unhelpful (!) replies that didn’t answer my question. I then contacted Amazon and was advised to e-mail a different address: [email protected], and received a prompt reply from Daisy, who arranged for another auger to be delivered two days later. So, if you have a problem, best to message the second address. The auger is an impressive piece of kit - robust in construction, more powerful than I expected and with good battery life. Also, it doesn’t emit petrol fumes and carbon dioxide - a double plus.

Makes drilling holes easy
I've had my auger for almost a month now. Very happy with it. I have drilled a couple dozen holes on a charge. I would say that it is not super powerful, but if you just let it work using its own weight and don't push it, it works perfectly. The auger head seems to be very sturdy construction, and the blades are razor sharp so it chews through even clear ice with ease. It was packed extremely well and arrived within a couple days of my order. All in all, very good value for the price.

So much easier to use than a gas auger and battery life is good.
Great auger! We planted 15 spruce trees, with 3 holes for each. 6 tower poplars, with 3 holes for each. Also planted 15 lilacs and didn't change the battery until last 10 holes. Makes our life so much easier.

No exhaust! And it works well too!
Well, took a chance and purchased this machine; it was a good move! After using it the day it arrived and again two charge cycles today, I'm even more impressed. We have thick, clayey soil. My previous gas operated machine was heavy and bulky, and the exhaust was horrid, you know how those two-cycle engines are.We got an order of sixty grand fir trees a day or two before this arrived. I was able to drill nine holes the first day on the first charge, and then two charges today got me through twenty more - so half the job is done! It's a pleasure to use. Not as heavy as the gas operated drill, I thought "oh yeah, this might dig a hole" after looking at it. Putting it to the test proved it though. Dug holes just as good as the gas operated one, and because there's no exhaust blowing in your face and no loud noise of a stinking two-cycle engine, and it's much lighter, it was easy to go from hole site to hole site. However, I think due to the heavy earth we have here, ten holes was about max. But I buried the bit to the hilt into each one. That's a 30-inch-deep hole. Took just minutes for each one, and in the lighter soil areas, even quicker.I really like this machine. It's worth the money, even though I think it's a bit high. But well worth it, and I don't have to mess around with the stinking gas operated earth drill anymore!Battery charges relatively fast, knocked off and had lunch and a break and in about an hour it was pretty much fully charged. On the downside, there's no automatic cut-off when the battery is fully charged so you really have to watch it and pull it off the charger soon after it's full.Other than that bit, it's a good machine and worth it. I'd get an extra battery of the larger size, or two. If you could rotate batteries, you could work with this all day. It's a pleasure to use.

8” Landworks ice fishing auger
At first, we were very frustrated with this auger as it was only able to drill about 12 holes through 15 inches of ice. Not only that, it struggled at about every 2 inches of ice to cut and would stop, also, it did not break through the last bit of ice. Slamming it through was the only way to finish the hole. So, we contacted Superhandy customer service and they took amazing care of us! When I say amazing, that is an understatement. Customer service seems to be a dying thing these days, but not with Superhandy. They went above and beyond our expectations and I would not hesitate for a second in the future to purchase any product from them. After they helped us work through the issues, the auger works flawlessly. Drilled about 20 holes yesterday at 15 inches, no problem and still had plenty of battery left. Thank you Superhandy and Landworks! Great auger for the money and customer service second time none.
