This is a poorly printed and written book. The pictures are poorly photographed, consist mainly of unappealing meat dishes and seem to be photographed through a haze. It uses many unpleasant coloured pages which reduces legibility, as does the use of red ink (!!) for ingredients. The font used is actually consistent and can be legible in the right circumstances. Cup measurements are useless in the UK. Online references for sourcing food items are for the USA only. The quantities given to make berbere paste are more restaurant scale than for home use. The list of "useful" equipment is totally unavailable in the UK. I am also the proud possessor of Ethiopian passion berries, a vital constituent of berbere paste. They are not used for her version but appear elsewhere in the book as tenadam. Some of the sentences in the book could have been improved by a proper editor. The publisher has badly let down the enterprising writer. The return has been arranged....
