Very informative and well-written. A good read.

A "must have" for any cat library collection. This book is chock full of great information on the magnificent Maine Coon breed that can also useful for owners of any type of cat, pedigreed or not. I prefer the Kindle version for its color photo illustrations of the cats, but the paperback is nice in black and white too. I am a Maine Coon cat breeder myself and I love learning about different philosophies and methods utilitized by others. I was also pleased to be asked to contribute as one of the breed experts for the Bonus Chapters included in the back of the book.

I have a young male Coonie Mix. He is a Mackerel Tabby andi absolutely love him! He came into and completed our home with my black Pug Bree and me.He is more than amusing and has a couple of quirks I will share with you.When he sits he must have some back "support". He leans back with this hind legs sticking straight out in front of him, one on the floor and the other waving in the air! So far he has only slid down the wall once I have seen!His other thing he does is after we three go to bed, Bree falls asleep immediately, I watch TV and Kikii washes up, hops off the bed, and walks from room to room for exactly five minutes It is as though he is checking the locks making sure we are secure for the night. He then comes back to bed has his cuddle time, washes Bree's face snuggles up to her and purrs himself to sleep!This book is well written and full of very useful information for we novice Maine Coon Cat owners.Kiki is just under one year, is 28 inches from tip of his pink nose to tip of tail and weighs 14 pounds!

Great informative book. This was a very quick and easy book to read, and had a lot of good advice. It is well written, and enjoyable. It was almost as if the book were written with my Maine Coon cat in mind. I highly recommend it.

I had purchased a few books with the expectations of learning something new and found one i liked and glanced at this one and this book didn't give me any new information, didn't keep it all the information in this book is the basic info on an internet search. But i am also somewhat knowledgeable about Maine coon Cats, so not totally surprised, but for a new owner or just learning this book might give you what you are going to need

Fantastic book, full of very helpful information and gave me plenty of questions for my breeder before picking up my baby MC next month. Highly recommend this book !!!

A very well written and accurate book on the Maine Coon Breed. I highly recommend it! A must read for Maine Coon Lovers.The only item in the whole book I did not fully agree with was the "line stating Maine Coon kittens grow slowly". That's funny to me, being a Maine Coon Breeder for 20 years. The kittens mature slowly, but grow like Great Dane puppies. Doubling in size each month from 1 to 6 months of age.Everything else in the book is "right on" as this breed is very special and so is this book. A great book on this breed!!!!!!!!!!Well worth the small purchase price.

If you have a Maine Coon or are thinking about buying one then this book is very informative and will help you with almost all your questions.It’s very well presented and is full of advice from real life experiences along with helpful tips too.Great value for money as well.

Bought this as the reviews were so positive. I am the proud mom of a Maine Coon. This book is clearly written with a lot of love. This book does have a lot of useful information for regular Maine Coon guardians and for those interested in showing/breeding Maine Coons.
