Great for surfing, you can actually hear
I have tried many ear plugs throughout the years dating back to 2005. I feel like they all look the same and come from the same factory but gotta be honest these are different. Many plugs claim you can hear well but honestly they don’t ( I have tried maybe 30 pairs ranging in price) . I could hear perfectly fine, maybe 10% less than normal and they were comfortable. Conversations weren’t in a yelling mode and water didn’t come in the ears.

Game Changer
This product is a game changer!I have tried a couple of different ear plugs, even expensive molded ones by Eartune) that claim to let the sound in while keeping the water out, but none of them lived up to the hype like these. And, they are constructed well at a competitive price. The magnetic feature was an unexpected bonus. Having them cling to each other makes it less likely to lose them. I also like the fact that you have the option of medium and large ear tips that pop on or off easily. Don’t blame me if you take my advice and lose one, but I found that wearing them without the leash attached works well, even when duck diving or, unfortunately, wiping out. And, to the young swimmers and surfers out there, if you are in the water a lot, WEAR EARPLUGS. At 48, I have pretty bad tinnitus due to surfer’s ear (exostosis), which I didn’t even know was a thing until I was diagnosed by an ENT two years ago. Granted, I have spent a LOT of time in the water (as much as possible every summer of my life, as a lifeguard and competitive swimmer during high school and college, and off and on as a surfer and lap swimmer in my adult years). I’ll still probably wear the Eartunes when I’m lap swimming because the seal is perfect and the quiet is nice, but all other times, it’ll be Alpine all the way!

Keeps out water
I like that it keeps out the water but unfortunately it blocks out sound as well. So while I am in the pool and i have the music playing, I feel that I am disturbing the neighbors because the music has to be louder than normal. I've tried numerous pairs of earplugs all claiming that they allow sound but still am unsuccessful in finding them.

Cute and discreet
My idiot self thought these were earbuds and they definitely are not *facepalm*. They are however super cute and understated, not bulky. They seem like they would stay in fairly well, but I can't confirm since I didn't actually swim. If I wasn't still in the market for a real pair of swimming earbuds I would probably keep them, they are such a nice color/shape. Can't currently blow $40 on earplugs by accident atm though

Cheaper than surfers ear and does the job but still too pricey

EAR PLUGS. NOT EAR BUDS.
I bought these thinking they were earbuds for music and podcasts lol my mistake. But they still work! They allow you to hear around you very firm and don’t come off. No water goes in my ears so they stay healthy. Thank you so much for a wonderful product!
