Great book - Not so great Kindle.
A very compelling book. Happily, one that confirms my own (very similar) experience, and the conclusions I came to.However, it is the last Kindle book I buy, since discovering that I no longer own it!

Very misleading title
Donald Hoffman shares deeper and more meaningful insights in his book The Case Against Reality: How Evolution Hid the Truth from Our Eyes. This book has the feel and style of someone overwhelmed by a personal experience with the inability to convey that experience in any meaningful way. To be fair he is a computer scientist and not a psychologist, which comes through very clearly. I am left underwhelmed by my experience of reading the book with the feeling that nothing has been added to my understanding of consciousness or self. Dissappointing, I was so looking forward to reading this having seen Bernardo Kastrups glowing review.

A holistic perspective
The book is nearly 60% knowledge and 40% hypothesis explanation. Builds a good understanding of the core concepts first then dives deep into the idea of combing quantum physics with consciousness. Overall a really good read if you're interested in the subject.
