Improved Hole Shot & Top Speed
I have a 2003 Alumacraft Navigator 165 with a Merc. 50 EFI. With two people on board and all our gear, it took 1/4 - 3/8 of a mile to get on plane and maxed out at 25.5 mph with the standard 3 blade prop. I installed this 4 blade Spitfire and found that it improved performance dramatically. With the same two people and gear the boat was on plane in less than 100 yards and topped out at 27 mph. It actually over revved the engine by about 300 rpm and I backed off about 800 rpm and was cruising at 26 mph. I love this prop.

Best prop ever!!
Best prop I've ever purchased. Install this on my 60 horse mercury four stroke. The boat is a 17 foot Tracker Targa. When I purchased the boat that had a 10.5 X 13p Mercury prop installed. The boat felt like such a slug in the water it was almost impossible to get the bow down. The boat felt like such a slug in the water it was almost impossible to get the bow down. With the Spitfire propeller the difference is amazing and planes much faster and lifts the stern of the boat so much more. It feels like a new boat. I highly recommend this propeller. Some say use the same page as you would a three blade propeller, I went down 1 inch and pitch and gained 200 RPM I lost 1 mile an hour on the top speed but planing takes about a third of the time and it does much better carrying a heavy load now that I can actually reach my rated RPM.

Phenomenal acceleration for 17 ft bass boat 50 HP Merc
Steph’s Hubby here. I recently put this Spitfire 10.6 x 12 pitch prop on my 1999 50 HP Mercury 2 stroke ELPTO that’s pushing a ‘99 17 ft Nitro Bass Boat 640 LX. These boats are heavy in the back end because of rear 20 gallon fuel tank, rear live well and both batteries in the back. Even with a SE 300 hydrofoil, this boat was extremely slow out of the hole. 20 -30 seconds plus to get on plane with OEM prop. With the new Spitfire prop, we’re out of the hole and on plane in 2 seconds flat! (9 yr old and 210 lb me). No loss of top speed which is 33 mph with this motor at 5500 rpms.Be aware that this prop can allow your motor to go above the rated max RPMs. By 300-500 rpms.Super easy install in 15 mins with basic tools and lube. Instructions included. Need a torque wrench to get to 55 lbs/ft of torque to lock in prop.New shaft parts were included and some are plastic. No problem with plastic after two runs and running full throttle for extended time. Only three gallons burned for 30 minutes full throttle.Mercury has a prop finder on their website that I found useful to help find better performance and proper pitch for this boat.Best of luck.

Be careful with the hub installation... but a great prop!!
My new boston whaler was way over-propped. I dropped to from a 14" pitch to a 13" with good improvement... but still not 100% correct. I went down one more notch, and moved from a standard three blade to this four blade. Yes, the smaller pitch was a help. But this prop gets my boat out of the hole fast, but still pulls tight, just to redline. The Mercury website has a super helpful prop calculator... just an FYI.

60hp Mercury
Put this on a 2001 60HP 4 Stroke Mercury (Non BigFoot outboard) fits great and is as advertised (had a 10.5 13p when I bought it). I purchased this as I was having an issue with my holeshot with any kind of weight in the boat. I have yet to try it out but I will post the update at my earliest convenience.I have since taken my boat out for its maiden voyage. It works great, I no longer have to worry about the holeshot I am up and out of the water like no one's business. The prop did increase my RPM's a little but I am ok with backing off the throttle until I have time to adjust it.
