GROHE 26420000 Euphoria Cube Shower System with Thermostat for Wall Mount, Starlight Chrome

I purchased this system in May of this year and installed it July. The system worked great for ~ two months then, the thermostatic valve system began to make a terribly loud buzzing/whining sound that could be heard down the hall and even downstairs.I contacted Grohe who claimed it was an issue with Amazon?! A bit of research online revealed that this is a common issue with thermostatic systems. After plenty of unpleasant back and fourth, the Grohe rep agreed to send me a replacement valve cartridge and admitted that sometimes those fail even on brand new systems. The replacement valve arrived and I had to hire a plumber to replace the cartridge. Unfortunately, this did not fix the issue.I contacted Grohe yet again, and they said that I should try cleaning some internal screens that go between the water line and the thermostatic valve as they may be clogged. I advised them that how is it that if they are clogged it only buzzes when hot water is on. They had no answer to that and said that is the only other possible source of failure. The rep offered to send replacement screens and they will review with their finance dept. to see if they can reimburse me for plumbing fees.I am now waiting for more replacement parts.Save yourself the trouble and avoid this product.

I recently remodel my master bathroom and shower to make it look like a 5 star hotel. I researched the shower systems for some time and chose the Grohe Euphoria system for its looks and craftsmanship. I purchased the matching shower head and hand sprayer. The product is solid and well made. My handyman had little difficulty mounting it, but warned me he had mounted one for another customer and later replaced it due to lack of shower pressure. I have great water pressure in my house and assumed I could pull out any water saver parts to ensure great water flow. The mixing section that works great in keeping a constant water temperature also reduces the water flow coming in from the hot/cold water pipes. Water flow was initially weak and I thought about replacing this system. Luckily, my handyman later figured out how to remove the water saver/reducing parts at the 1/2 inch hot/cold pipes. The water flow went from a disappointing drizzle from both the rain head and shower handle to a full on blast from both. With this recent fix, I came back here and changed my review. I am very happy with this shower system. You may need to have a smart handyman/plumber and good house water pressure, but this is well worth the price.

During a condo renovation I installed 3 of these because of the beautiful modern design and my trust in the Grohe brand. After only two years you can already see the deterioration of the chrome. Also, I had a previously problem with a leak on the hand shower and Grohe’s response to my complaint was utter silence! I will definitely not buy Grohe again and do not recommend it.

Got the product in the factory box and extremely well packaged with complete parts and clear directions.Keep in mind the specs before purchasing and notice the clear description of shower head and hand held not included. Fantastic price if you compare this to show rooms in my area it basically double in price. Its super solid down to all of the fittings and connections. One small exception is the wall mount covers from my tiles to the fixture are plastic but seems be by design though unnoticeable aesthetically.
