The best guesstimation is about 2 in around 3/4 inches wide

Q: What materials does this tool cut ? Will it cut brass and copper for example ?

It is made to cut copper pipe, gauge M and L. It is not made to cut schedule 40 thickness. I would only use it for gauge M or L copper pipe.
