Brotree Micro Cord: Handy Companion for Crafts & Camping
The media could not be loaded. The ScoopThe Brotree Micro Cord is a thin, yet surprisingly strong cord designed for various uses. What I Liked- Versatile: With a 50-metre spool, this cord is suitable for numerous applications, from crafting and macrame to camping and securing loose objects.- Strong & Lightweight: Despite its thin profile (1.18mm), it boasts a 45kg (100lb) breaking load, making it surprisingly strong for its size!- Durable Materials: Made from braided polyester, it offers high strength, low water absorption, and UV resistance, so it’s ideal for outdoor use.- Portable & Compact: The cord comes on a small, reusable spool for convenient storage and carrying.- Colour Options: I like that there are colour options (there are 12 to chose from), and love orange, green and black for the garden.Advertiser's Claims Examined- "Test to 45KG" - Clearly stated 45 kg breaking load seems appropriate for its size.- "High Quality" - Braided polyester construction supports the claim of high strength and UV resistance.- "Must-Have" - The description lists various uses, but suitability depends on the project's specific needs, although I do think it’s a “must have” tucked away on the shed.My Overall SentimentThe Brotree Micro Cord is a versatile cord, well-suited for crafting projects, camping applications, and securing objects. Its lightweight design, durability, and portability make it a handy companion for various tasks. For those looking for a top-of-the-line high-quality micro cord, Brotree sets a high bar!

Thickz strong and minimal elasticity. Perfect
I have been using this para cord at my last camping trip to secure the tarpaulin and it worked well even in a stronger breeze but I'm not sure if it would be enough for stronger winds. I love the colour as it contrasts with the grass and it's very visible. I can see this as a ridge rope for fixing a tarpaulin between trees when hiking as it's so lightweight. Price wise there is a lot of bang for your buck as they say! Recommended!

Micro cord is not the same as paracord
I ordered this 50m spool of micro cord to fulfill a variety of little jobs around the home. It is perfect for a whole raft of uses from crafts to gardening - I even used a bit while camping as a makeshift clothes line. If you are serious about camping and outdoorsy stuff it is a good one to have in your arsenal of goodies as it is extremely narrow but comparatively strong. What it is not (and what it is not marketed as, to be fair) is paracord. Paracord is rated from type I to type Iii (also known as 550 paracord, the strongest), and they gain these ratings from having between 1 and 9 inner core strands. Well this one has zero inner core strands. It is basically eight outer strands pleated together - this is also how a shoelace is made. Now, the stands here are made of nylon and nylon is characteristically strong. But let’s set the ballpark of expectations.Once we know all of this it’s important to note you still get a lot of smooth, strong and useful cord that fulfills a variety of purposes. Most of which a type III premium cord would be a waste of money for.Four stars.

Good strong cord for its size
I do a variety of craft things from making models and woodwork to clocks and artwork, I am presently drawing pictures for a friends book. To be totally honest I have not entirely thought out what I will use this for yet, but it is a really good product. There is a decent colour range and it is extremely well made and because of the braiding very strong for its size.So as a Vine Voice I ordered this when it became available, being a Vine Voice often means that you order things as you see them rather when you need them. Anyway I ordered two different colours and am very happy to give them 5 stars. What I do not know is how they will fair long term if used outside and if they will maintain their strength.

Good quality micro cord
Paracord is very useful being thin and light but really strong. It can be used for anything from emergency shoe laces to rope to secure things together. I always carry 3m or so in by backpack when hiking just in case. With this item you get 50m for £9.99 (at the time of writing) which I think is really good value. I got the light blue version but it also comes in many other colours. The cord is nicely rolled on a spool with a pin holding the end in place so it doesn't unravel which is a nice touch.A quality and very useful item at a very reasonable price point. Recommended.
